This Year's Model Updates:

Coming off a complete redesign just last year, the 2010 Mazda 6 sees little in the way of change. A new optional audio and Bluetooth display debuts, as does a new Touring Plus trim level. Features have also been shuffled among trim levels to lower the vehicle's base price.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, big trunk, muscular performance from V6, smooth automatic transmissions, relatively sporty handling.
Cons:
  • Mediocre fuel economy, some cheap interior materials.

Just bought this car last night. Ive always loved Mazdas (I had an 89 MX-6, which my mother still drives!). Traded in my Maxima for this slightly-less fancy car, but so far Im pretty pleased. Zippy, corners well, good pick up on the freeway, good sound system (although I do miss my Bose with Sirius XM). Dealership was awesome. Hopefully gas mileage will be better than my Maxima, and that I have it a long time.

  • Not sure what to expect, but now happy - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I transitioned from a European larger mid-size sedan (VW Passat TDI) to the Mazda6. He interiors are compatible in set up, luxury, & equipment positioning. The interior is well thought out and for the driver as well as passengers. The exterior is exceptional in appearance. The car handled like a dream in very heavy snow this past winter. The 4 cyl. is way under powered and the fuel economy is average when compared to my wifes 4 cyc Accord. The ac system is a bit weak and takes a long time to cool the interior compartment. Mazda seems to like the black interiors and I found it difficult to find a light interior. For the do-it-yourselfer, the vehicle is a delight. A value thus far.

I purchased the Mazda 6 back in October 2010. Have around 24,000 miles Never had any major problems with it so far. I just changed my front brakes after 20,000 miles. Has pretty good pick- up for a 4 cylinder. Drives very well on the highway. Very large trunk and a roomy back. I would highly recommend this car to any perspective buyers.

  • Not as Good as an Accord - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

After purchasing a 6 with around 30,000 miles on it, I am a bit disappointed. My main gripe is with engine. Its noticeably slower than my 4-Cylinder Accord (which isnt a rocket-ship to begin with). The lack power is to a point where I wont pass someone because I am afraid I wont have enough room. The transmission is clunky and doesnt shift when you want it to. Unlike an Accord, the engine sounds like a coffee grinder -- rough and unrefined. When accelerating the engine seems very taxed. However, the handling is very good and the 6 can be thrown around with hardly any body roll. The stereo is one of the worst I have heard in a modern car.

If youre like me and want to have some fun while driving but dont want to pay top dollar to get it, than the Mazda 6 Sport V6 is for you. I test drove every car in its class and some cars above it (much more expensive) and the Mazda outperformed dollar for dollar every time. Ive had mine for a month now and I still have to take a look at it each time I get in or out and think to myself "what a beautiful car"

  • Quality vehicle at a reasonable price - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Have put close to a 1,000 on this car so for and overall Im quite satisfied. This cars exterior design is right up there with all the other competition in its class. It has just enough power for the price, it gets good gas mileage, and the ride is smooth. Other reviews indicate "excessive road noise" but I havent noticed anything unusual. I agree that SOME of the interior accents are somewhat cheap (front side air vents, backseat fold-down cupholder, etc)but for the price, youll be hardpressed to find a better vehicle. Before you spend the extra money on the Camry or Accord, give the Mazda 6 a look.

  • Great Car for the Money - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I would recommend this car to anyone, without hesitation. Have been extremely happy with the features and how solid the build quality has felt so far. Where I am from, there really are very few of these cars around, so it stands out in the crowd of all the other sedans. Has great safety marks as well as being roomy enough for everything I need.

  • Worth the money, big time! - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Purchased this car in December of 09. I put about 3000 miles on it, so far and I cant say anything bad about it. The car handles great (put winter tiers on it) in the snow, dry or wet. The Luxury package is worth the money on the GT-i4. I am glad I got this car instead of the Nissan Altima, the Mazda is just a better car overall in my opinion. We drove to Montreal in a snow storm, and we all felt very confident that the car would take us there safely. Nice quiet, firm, stable ride. The Bose sound system with the Centrepoint Surround Sound is great, the Bluetooth, the blind spot monitoring system, the DSP, all great options. Great US built car (it was about time). Well done Mazda!

We got this car to replace our Corolla with something safer. Its been a great car for us so far. The engine, while not super powerful, is very smooth and loves to rev. Between the engine and the close-ratio 6-speed you can always find the power band. I was never lacking in power up to 11,000 feet on mountain passes, a feat my corolla stumbled on. The handling is wonderful, very composed and confident on twisty roads, but the ride is very smooth as well. It looks great, and the interior and trunk are enormous. The factory stereo is probably above average, the seats are grippy without being constrictive.Too early to notice any repair issues, engine seems to be getting stronger as it breaks in

  • Smooth Rider - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I originally wanted to purchase the Mazda 5 but my wife wanted a Sedan not a van. So I went with the Mazda 6 and so far I really like it. This is the first Mazda that I have purchased. It rides very smooth, looks very sporty and has pretty good pick up for a 4 cylinder car. The rear seat can sit 3 adults comfortably. The Mazda 6 is an excellent value for the price.
