This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

Steering, handling, ride, and throttle response are nearly perfect. This car reacts to control inputs without hesitation while maintaining a comfortable ride. This is a true drivers car. No other cars in the compact class can compete. The true competition is in the near luxury class. I have owned Audi, Lexus, and Acura, and I dont feel like anything is missing from the Mazda 3. The 167hp will not win a drag race, but the power delivery is smooth with quick throttle response. Plus, there always seems to be plenty of power reserve waiting for merging and passing. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

I love this car, traded a 99 Jeep Cherokee on the cash for clunkers program. no regrets so far, its a lot of fun to drive and the fuel mileage is double that of the Jeep. Build quality seems to be excellent and the car has good acceleration and shifts smoothly and precise.

I test drove 22 cars in 5 weeks while I was shopping for a new car. The 2010 Mazda 3 s GT 2.5 was the very first car I drove, and was the car that I purchased. For a car in this class you simply cannot and will not find more available options. Fully loaded this cars sticker price is about 24,000 and its worth every penny. This car is zippy, fun to drive, and responsive, but still maintains a smooth ride. There are options available in this car that you wont even find in a 3 series BMW.

Yep I was admittedly worried that my 2007 was going to be a regrettable trade in on the 2010 2.5 but I just because it was Mazda I had faith in their underdog drive to make things just that much better ,the. 3. Remindes me f the Porsche 911 better by incriments yearly . I got the gt hatchback with the electronically controlled 5 speed automatic with sport shift that actually works ! And well . This tranny shifts smoother than my old mans s500 Mbz. And my 328 BMW from 2002. By far . Its seamless , heck Grand Prix cars all use automatic gearboxes now , it was a choice I dont regret ! Awesome car. Just turned 50k. And it is spot on !

This replaces my 2008 Mazda3 GT hatch that was the identical trim with Bose/Roof package. The differences though are stark and immediately obvious.I was nervous as in jan. when I got it the reviews were limited and die-hard Mazda3 people were ragging it into the ground for design which turned out to be something that grew on everybody once they bought the car and experienced perfection. We were all scared it would not be better than its predecessor, well it is and in every category, Suspension,Engine, Transmission, Interior noise level, European feel and interior materials. Its a car that I already know is destined to be one of the all time greatest cars ever built- forget the class its in.

  • Fun Pocket Rocket - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Excellent performance & handling. Surprisingly good mpg, I average 29 mpg. Fun to drive baby! Cons: speedometer/tac display view blocked by steering wheel(design flaw); small gas & odometer gauges seem almost an afterthought. Single high note horn is pathetic. No engine temp/oil gauges. And why would you put the fuel filler cap on the Right side of the car!!??

  • The most fun car Ive ever driven - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

Hands down this is the most fun car Ive ever driven. This car has actually made me look forward to my hour long commute every morning. The power is more than sufficient and the handling is excellent. The only drawbacks to this car are the two very minor recalls already issued (although my dealer was able to fix them both in under and hour) and the gas mileage.

  • Awesome Ride - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Well this is my first car I have ever purchased, I previously drove my moms Infinity J30. Well first of all the front looks great, I wasnt sure when I kept seeing the pics and all the reviewers talking crap about the front of the car but trust me in real life once your standing infront of it, it does not look bad at all. I like hip hop/rap so a good sound system is a must, I bought the cheaper version just standard everything and the system is LOUD the bass does not bump like if you had Subwoofers in the car but it is really loud anyway. I love driving it on the expressway in Chicago because the acceleration is crazy! Def take it for a test drive I did and bought it...

Well I travel to downtown Chicago everyday so I needed a commuter car, Im 6 ft and 220 lbs so I wasnt too sure about this small car but so far so good. I love rap/hiphop so a good sound system was a must and this system BUMPS, its not the same as having subwoofers in the car but its really loud anyway I love pluggin my ipod into the car and listening to my playlists. The car is awesome on the expressway the acceleration is totally responsive and fast. One more thing, dont be put off by the look of the front of the car all the pics look weird but seeing it in person is completely different, this car is a good looking car!

  • Great Car .. Fun to drive! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I shopped for quite a while before deciding on what I would purchase. This car surpassed all the competitors in handling, performance and overall value. So I purchased the 2010 Mazda3 iTouring a beginning of May. It now has 2500 miles on it and I love it. My mileage is averaging about 33 mpg. I am so surprised by the mileage since I expected to get about 26-28! Handling is really great! I cant say enough positive things about this car. I have owned many cars but this is by far my favorite. I have very few negatives as you can see below. This car is well worth the $$.
