This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, the Sedona has a revised grille with a larger logo. The EX model has a new alloy wheel design, while the LX has redesigned plastic wheel covers. A center tray table with cupholders is now standard on both EX and LX.

Pros:
  • Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

  • Great Value - 2004 Kia Sedona

Overall, a great value with style. Attractive and affordability without a few "extras" that the more expensive models offer. Well worth the money saved!

  • Love this van. Its great. - 2004 Kia Sedona

Only 1 complaint: low speed knocking noise in right front when driven over bumps; seems inherent in all Sedonas right off the trailer; neither dealer nor manufacturer has a fix. I had to learn to ignore it.

  • It wouldnt die! - 2004 Kia Sedona

Living in Canada, our winters are hard on cars. This van would not die! I bought this van with 250,000km on it and I ran it until 450,000km it was still running strong but I hit a moose going 110km an hour and it destroyed the van. Every year we would haul a 4500pound trailer all the way around Ontario and it never really hurt the van. Even though every year the rear heater lines would rot out there was nothing really done other than regular maintenance. The a/c stopped working after hitting my second deer. But other than those things you could run this van through hell and it wouldnt even get a scratch I even took it muding once. good job Kia you built a bullet proof tank

  • We love it - 2004 Kia Sedona

Its great! Very sharp looking. The performance is wonderful and the ride is very smoothe compared to the Explorer Sport that we traded in. We got one with a rear seat entertainment system and the kids love it. The system includes wireless headphones for the dvd player. There are only a few things I wish were different. First, the gas mileage is not great. Second, the rear seat headrests partially obscure the view out the rear view window. Third, I wish there was more cargo room in the back when all the seats are installed.

  • Rating for 2004 Kia - 2004 Kia Sedona

Wepurchased the van 3 months ago and have put 4300 miles on it. We love it except for the gas milage. It averages 20 on the highway, not the 22 posted on the window sticker. But other than that, it is a super minivan.

  • HanKOOK Tires - 2004 Kia Sedona

I had this car about 3 months and much trouble with the Hankook Tires. Had the vehicle only 3 days and a flat tire. Two weeks later another flat. A Month later the two front tires got flat spots from a normal skid. They had to be replaced. Has anybody had problems like this ???

  • Highly suggest this van! - 2004 Kia Sedona

We used to own a 2000 Dodge Caravan SE. We drive alot of miles so upon looking for another van to replace it with, we found we just couldnt afford what was out there with the features we wanted...until we looked at the Kia...the website and brochures do not do this van justice!!! It is so much better in person and to drive it! Our children love the DVD system, we love the sunroof, the 4 captains chairs are so comfortable and there is so much leg room even for adults in all 3 rows...this van has so far exceeded all of our expectations and every day we drive it, we are so glad to have all the features that it comes with at such a reasonable price!!!

  • Worst car Ive ever owned! - 2004 Kia Sedona

Ive had nothing but transmission problems with my car since 9,000 miles. The dealership has made every excuse they can think of to not fix the problem. Supposedly at 18,000 miles they replaced the transmission with a rebuilt one. Problems still existed after the supposed replacement. Now they say that the transmission is no good because of the tires being of a different circumference even though they are marked the same size, refusing to fix the transmission. The car is in my opinion, junk and the dealership is a sham. Oh, they also had to replace the engine 2 weeks after the worked on the transmission. Seems the serpentine belt broke and got into the timing belt.
