Minor upgrades are in store for the Sedona in its second year on the market. On the outside, buyers will find new taillights, and in the cabin, you'll note a new audio faceplate and a remote fuel-door release. The LX model gets a CD player, while the EX now comes with two keyless remotes, as well as additional leather on the armrests and lower portions of the seats. A trailer hitch is now available for all Sedonas.

- Hefty curb weight, below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

By Rebs mom - September 8 - 10:00 amIve only had my 2003 Sedona EX for a week but so far I love it! (I traded in my 96 Windstar) We couldnt beat the price/options/warranty on the Kia. It rides and drives very smoothly. I didnt know how many new features theyve come out with since a 96 that Id been driving! I dont mind sharing, for those who are still comparison shopping, that our total price incl. tax/title/tags etc was $20,300. (incl. $3000 total rebates) I have a sunroof and ABS, but no leather. So far, the gas mileage has been fine for me (I live in a semi-rural area without heavy traffic)

The Best Buy for a new Mini Van - 2003 Kia Sedona

But, it wont cost you $35K either. The standard LX has everything you need and the EX looks good with the added 2 tone body style and mag. wheels.

Gas mileage is not so great , but it will take a lot of miles to burn the 8k difference in price. Also the Kia dealership was easier to deal with than the toyota dealerships. This van along with its warranty will eventually take huge market share from toyota, honda, etc.

Purchased 4/2/2010 with 52,000 miles. 40 days later Im walking to work because engine blew and dealer wont fix it they blame me for changing the spark plugs. Before that in 3 weeks time it was in the shop 4 times first hub bearing went bad, then ac went out, then the van would just stall for no reason. They find nothing wrong. For people having this problem clean out the mass air flow sensor i found that out myself. Then a week later at 53,000 miles engine started knocking and smoking towed to the dealer and was told need new engine. Just the name KIA has lemon written all over it.Avoid the stress and steer clear. Very bad gas mileage.

YOU CAN OWN A QUALITY PRODUCT AND NOT HAVE TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF EXTRA DOLLARS TO GET IT. MY SEDONA IS CLASSY, SPORTY, ROOMY AND RIDES LIKE A DREAM. THE BEST PART IS YOU DONT SEE THEM AT EVERY STOP LIGHT. I FEEL PROUD TO BE DIFFERENT. I LOVE MY KIA!!!
