Overview & Reviews
The Kia Optima receives only minor revisions for the 2004 model year. The grille has been revised, 16-inch wheels are now standard on V6 models and the alloy wheels on the EX (last year's SE) have been redesigned. Finally, an in-glass antenna replaces the old power mast style unit from last year, but only on the EX and the LX with the optional cassette/CD audio system.
- Excellent warranty, pleasant highway ride, lots of features for the price.

AWESOM CAR - 2004 Kia Optima
By SRatl3 - November 15 - 10:00 amThis car is the most awesom car for the price. The power the optima v6 has is so fast, you will have no problem in taking off or passing. This car will definately put you back in your seats. It is hard to believe all the extras that come standard on my car. I cannot speak highly enough about this car except try it you will like it.

By dbstory - October 23 - 6:03 pmI traded in a brand new Nissan Sentra to get this car. The dealer went out of their way to put me in this beautiful silver V6 with power everything. So far my only problem is the battery is dead in my key FOB already. I can live with that -- the car came with two FOBS.

I love my Optima - 2004 Kia Optima
By Junneau - October 9 - 10:00 amMy 4 cylinder does not have a noisy engine. Ive had no problems to date. People ask me all the time what kind of car it is (logo is on the back of car), because the body is so nice. It looks, feels and drives like a luxury car, but it was affordable for me. I love my car and Im thankful for it. Time will only tell if it stands the test of time. Im hoping its overall performance rates like a Toyota or Nissan (engines last forever).

WOW - 2004 Kia Optima
By dntfeartareaper - September 12 - 10:50 amI bought this car with 9,000 miles on it. Great car for the price. This four cylinder moves, Ive beat Camaros, v6 Cavaliers an Accord and a Volvo. I now have 40,000 miles on it and its still going very strong. All thats been done to it since Ive had it is that I put on a k&n filter, got a trans flush and oil changes. Sound system was good but I upgraded it. Design is awesome. Great car for college students or anyone for that matter

Working for Enterprise, I get to test out and drive pretty much every midrange vehicle on the market, from the Toyota Camry to the VW Passat. And given that the Camry, Accord and Passat are all very reliable cars and well respected, DO NOT count out the KIA Optima! From the FIRST day I sat behind the wheel of the Optima, I fell in love with it, despite my first love was the Mazda 3 & 6! The fact is that the Optima is fun yet practical and YES, VERY reliable. it makes an AWESOME purchase! If youre in the market to purchase a new car, please consider the Optima!

Awesome Car - 2004 Kia Optima
By ddynamitedorothy - May 23 - 10:00 amI love my car and the way it handles. It is sporty to me and handles well in curves. Maybe its not as strong in curves as a sports car. But its just as fun. Very reliable and a comfortable drive. The features inside are just what I need. The coverage they give you is excellent.The body style is sleek and wonderful. Wish they had more choices of color interiors. But its all gravy. Very, very satisfied with my car and will trade it in for a newer model in a year or so.

Well worth it - 2004 Kia Optima
By laidbakman - March 8 - 2:00 amThe ride is smooth. Was very pleased with how comfortable the ride is in the ex v6. This car has sufficient power to merge or just to get moving on interstate. You dont realize how fast until you look down. My kids think the sound system is super. Cannot beat the warranty just have to make regular service appointments but tht is with any car. I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone. The EX V6 that is.
