Overview & Reviews
The Kia Optima receives only minor revisions for the 2004 model year. The grille has been revised, 16-inch wheels are now standard on V6 models and the alloy wheels on the EX (last year's SE) have been redesigned. Finally, an in-glass antenna replaces the old power mast style unit from last year, but only on the EX and the LX with the optional cassette/CD audio system.
- Excellent warranty, pleasant highway ride, lots of features for the price.

Paid for and loving it! - 2004 Kia Optima
By angron - March 18 - 10:00 amWe were going to buy a Kia Rio, but when we saw the Optima, my wife just had to have it. And we lucked out cause the 2004 Optima we bought arrived just the night before. What a bargain!!! For the price difference we definitely made a move up (in size, power and comfort) and we did it without having to fork out the extra 7,000 for a comparable Toyota or Nissan.

New Purchase of Used Kia Optima - 2004 Kia Optima
By Doug Pierce - March 16 - 2:33 amJust purchased a 2004 Kia Optima, I like the way the car rides and handles, engine seems strong and fuel economy so far is averaging appx. 25.6 mpg city and country driving. I wish the car had auto headlamps and auto door locking. Otherwise I am very happy so far, I just purchased the vehicle with 60640 miles on. Body and paint are excellent, interior is spotless. I like the way the drivers seat fits me, I am short however I can sit back from the steering wheel and still reach the accelerator and brake pedal. In my 97 Buick which this replaces, I had to sit much to close to the steering wheel, miss the power seat and dual AC. Otherwise a great vehicle. Thanks.

Gave up Dodge for KIA - 2004 Kia Optima
By Slvrshark - January 12 - 10:00 amOptima: Great price, package, and jaw drops our friends who have paid so much for their cars! It redefined the future path of KIA where it is an accepted name for a more mature owner tired of paying the big bucks for the same package Optima EX offers: We are a family that purchased new vehciles such as a loaded Chrystler Town N Country, loaded Dodge Durango, and Ford King Ranch.

Positive Choice - 2004 Kia Optima
By Rthor - November 4 - 2:00 amThe Kia Optima in a price comparison with other makes and models won hands down both in quality and features. The car is well equipped with virtually all the accessories one would want. From a moon roof to ABS brakes, leather interior and a 24V-V6 engine. The engine is quiet and very responsive. Interior noise is low and the car gives a good solid feel during city or highway driving. Overall the form, fit and function of the car is outstanding, particularly at this price.

Very good car - 2004 Kia Optima
By MWay1146 - November 4 - 2:00 amI have owned a Cadillac, a Lincoln Town Car, and several Chevy, Oldsmobile, and Chrysler vehicles. My 2003 Optima EX is as good as any of them. It has a nice ride, handles very well, and is quieter than my Town Car or Coupe de Ville were. On a recent 1000 mile trip, I got 33 MPG and the first 10000 miles have been totally trouble-free. I highly recommend this car.

Delighted thru necessity! - 2004 Kia Optima
By EdinWestminster - October 12 - 2:00 amAfter having driven 173,000 miles on my Saturn Sl1, the engine finally gave up and I had to do something quick. Not likeing the looks of the ION and reading of its average reputation, I looked to Kia for comfort, reliability, and value. I moved up to a full tilt loaded EXV6 in Pearl White. The car has vastly exceeded my expectations for comfort, reliablity, build quality, and peace of mind. Many of my friends thought it was a small Lexus. My Saturn was the most dependable car I have ever owned (never had one problem), but having put almost 7000 miles on the Kia in 3 months, I am looking forward to many years of dependable, value packed comfort. Also, Leather and 200watt stereo helps too!

Luxury @ Half the Price! - 2004 Kia Optima
By allissa1963 - July 31 - 10:00 amI have the top of the line Kia Optima and it is every bit as luxurious, inside and out, as the Lincoln LS. As a matter of fact, they look identical on the inside. I love my Kia and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a new car.

I lOVE THIS CAR - 2004 Kia Optima
By rvingsuz - May 24 - 12:03 pmThis was the first car I have ever picked out for myself and am I ever happy with it. It handles very smoothly and is sooooo comfortable for me....fits me well. I have followed the manufacturers suggestions on care and have not had any problems. It runs great and corners like an expensive sports car. I know, I drive on winding roads regularly. Very fun and inexpensive to own.
