Beauty is only skin deep - 2005 Kia Amanti
By subwaybuff - July 23 - 4:48 pmThis car is a piece of junk! I have had it for about 3 months and added only around 300 miles. The check engine light came on at 3 miles. dealer reset the light. Light is back on. Today (9/23/11) within 2 miles I had sudden acceleration twice . The only way I avoided an accident was to put the care in neutral. The biggest mistake I ever made. Sure it is a beauty but I can take a pig and give it a bubble bath and dress it in fancy clothes but it is still a pig. Id unload it but I"d be upside down big time and no wheels till I pay it off

My 6 Months with an 05 Amanti - 2005 Kia Amanti

Its extremely quiet, has every possible convenience feature, is easy to see out of, has a tight turning circle, has excellent workmanship and comes in at an amazingly good price. Frankly, I dont see any reason to spend more for a Camry or the same for an Accord both of which have fewer features and less comfort. The Amanti is a wonderful highway car and is ideal for smoothing out rough city streets as well. The interior is amazingly roomy and the heated rear seats, left and right temperature controls and rear A/C and heat are welcome to all passengers. Mine has been trouble free for over 5000 km and I love it.

You must use premium gas, but the best I have done on a long road trip is 17.2 mpg. I dont believe I will ever see 25 mpg. The strange thing is that it does not seem to matter with this car whether you drive it like a grandma or at high speeds. It gets the same on a long trip either way. I must say that I like the car enough that even with the bad gas mileage, I would still purchase the same car if I had it to do all over again. I spent a long time shopping prior to buying, and for the price, in my opinion, it is the best car on the market. Very high quality.

By MagMax - March 7 - 2:00 pmAfter a year of research, I took delivery of a pearl white 05 Amanti a week ago. Since then Ive put about 300 miles on the clock. The cars got an amazingly comfortable ride, has a vast and beautifully detailed interior, and has plenty of power for normal circumstances. It has everything from heated rear seats to automatic wipers. Im especially impressed by the silence inside the car, by the comfortable seats, and by how easy it was to get used to driving it. It has excellent visibility, a commanding driving position, a very tight turning circle, and is very easy to get into and out of. For less than a loaded Camry, its an unbeatable bargain with lots more bells and whistles.

Unbelievable value - 2005 Kia Amanti
By milwaukee_driver - January 18 - 5:43 amAfter researching, it seemed to be too good a value to be true. After purchasing, I cant believe that there arent more on the road. All of the amenities of a Lexus (except for the underpowered engine) at a fraction of the cost. Great ride - quiet and smooth on the highway. Controls are extensive and easily accessible. Very satisfied and Id be inclined to purchase another, especially if the engine gets upgraded (more power and/or better mileage).

Great Used Car - 2005 Kia Amanti
By WHS - January 5 - 8:30 pmI bought my 05 Kia Amanti used from a Toyota dealer. It has been the best used car Ive purchased yet. My wife loves it! It has been on two long trips and the gas mileage is great (26 mpg).This has been with three people and two large suitcases in the trunk.

By Betty Campbell - November 25 - 5:30 amAlthough we have only had our Kia Amanti a few months, we love it and are very happy we bought it. The steering is so "light" and easy ... so simple to drive. Feels like a "luxury" car to me, but very affordable. The trunk is huge; very important to me. The interior is roomy, back seat comfy, and very attractive interior. Other reviews say its slow on take off -- well, I find I must watch my take offs as it seems to really GO! Very easy to glide along on the highway and loose track of your speed. We think its a beautiful car and so far, no regrets.

By Walter - October 15 - 7:33 pmWe had purchased a 2003 Kia van, enjoyed it and watched the reviews on the coming Amanti. We drove it, liked it and bought it. We have enjoyed the car. People stop use on a regular basis to ask what it is. It handles very well. No mechanical problems. The ride is great both in front and rear seats. It has nice features, phone plug ins in back and front. Heated seats, temperature control for passengers. Great car!

Luxury for less - 2005 Kia Amanti
By lailani - September 30 - 8:53 pmI traded in my Mazda Miata convertible for something more safe at the urging of my over- protective mother and sister. I drive almost constantly, so it was a good idea after all. I bought the Amanti with 13,000 miles on it almost 3 1/2 years ago and it now has 106,000 miles. I have only had to perform regular maintenance on the car. It has taken me all over the western states in super comfort and I proved the safety of the car in a minor accident. Someone crashed into me while I was at a stoplight and I kind of cocked my head to the side and said... did someone just hit me? It felt like a minor bump to me, but ended up crunching the other car pretty well.
