  • Driving in comfort - 2005 Kia Amanti

We enjoy the comfort and low price luxury of this car. It has all the amenities you could ask for as well as space for five adults. I have read critics reports about being under powered but we have not found this to the case, previously we had a 93 Intrepid and this car feels as strong as the Dodge. The instruments are clear & easy to use, the leather seats and interior is impeccable & high quality. The trunk is very large, we have put luggage for 3 adults for a 2 week trip with room to spare. The interior & exterior fit of all panels is perfect. In my lifetime (68) I have had many cars including a Cadillac & this car is as good as any of them so far. Signed-- Totally satisfied

  • Much More than You Think - 2005 Kia Amanti

I disagree with those who test drove this car. I drove from Seattle to Green Bay doing 600 miles a day in November and the car virtually hummed. The drive was the most exceptional drive I have made in a car and I was never more comfortable. In other cars, I would be adjusting the seat several times during the daily drive. I never touched the seat controls on the Amanti. I take issue with consumers being told to look at the Buick, or the Toyota. Why? This car has exceptional performance. I had no stability problems and I was driving thru some windy mountain passes. I have been in the snow now for a month. The car has been in subzero temperatures and it hums along every day. Great Buy!

This is a fabulous car. Its a real eye-catcher. When I first began to drive it, I felt like I was floating. Ive only had one problem and that was with the right strut collar. Kia has the part on order and said this was a problem with most Amantis. Its been over a month and the part still hasnt come in. Gas mileage is not good. Great vehicle with excellent warranty.

  • Looking Good - 2005 Kia Amanti

Ive had this car since Sept. and so far it is fantastic - a beautiful car inside and out! The only thing that I dont like is the city mileage but for a car this size its not bad. My all around mileage is approximately 22.5 mpg and it is comprised of approximately 50% city and 50% highway driving.

Everyone agrees: great style, more head room/leg room, auto seat memory, side mirrors may be set to rotate down, quiet door closure, easy trunk opening devices and hidden key locking entry to trunk, smooth ride, seat heaters, great sound system, dual temperature settings.

  • Very poor gas mileage - 2005 Kia Amanti

After seven months of driving, 5,900 miles to date, according to the digital display I am "averaging" 12.5 mpg. The published mpg is 17 city / 20 highway. I am using 87 octane fuel and occasionally use mid-grade even though the manual calls for the 87 octane.

  • Affordable Luxury on Wheels - 2005 Kia Amanti

The Amanti is a head turner. I receive stares and comments quite often, and it gives me the feeling of driving a very expensive luxury sedan.

  • Another transmission and front end noise - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

After another highway trip of 1200 miles the transmission has gone bad again ! The service manager hears the noise and has to get with Kia on it! It needs another one and this will make the third one and the front end creaking and sounds like its falling apart has been fixed twice also, with all new everything in front. They say they can do nothing else for it! It must be a lemon car !Waiting again to see if they will fix it, it only has 27,000 miles on it. Will let everyone know what happens. Im on here earlier and posted problems

  • Dont Let the Nameplate Stop You - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

After getting past the nameplate on the car, I am glad that I purchased this vehicle. I have put over 20,000 miles on the car in a little over 8 months. The performance has exceeded all expectations, and I believe now, more than ever, that this vehicle is by far the best value in its class. Kia has hit a home run with the Amanti.
