  • LOVE THIS AMANTI - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

The Amante appears to be constructed extremely well, it has 4 wheel disk brakes with ABS - the suspension is excellent so the ride is very smooth. The sensation of speed is almost undetectable partly due to variable power steering. Tires are rated at 130 mph which offers peace of mind at highway speeds. The airbags, total of 8, offer protection I have not seen in even other luxury cars. Also impressed with the alignment of sheet metal and the cars exterior finish (paint job). We have the silver color and very rich in appearance. Car seems to be very well enginered - I was impressed.

I love this car. Never in my life would I have bought a Kia until I rented the Amanti. I returned the rented car on a Monday and Tuesday I drove off the lot with the Amanti. For those of you who can not afford a Full Size Luxury Vehicle, run, dont walk to your nearest Kia Dealer because now you can afford one and you wont be disappointed

  • Amanti Problem - 2005 Kia Amanti

Bought used w/6970 mi.on it(told it was a salesmans who leased a new one).Got home & on parking in driveway noticed light on dash, brake light was out! Went back it was replaced, but this was just the start!!Have since replaced 17 bulbs on this car!!! Car was checked & was told nothing wrong, its normal on Kias,& theres a lot of electronics on the vehicle. Each time nothing wrong is found, it costs me $92,so much for the warranty!! Lightbulb replacement cost $35-$40,since you cant get to them w/out removing half the frontend. Have had bottom of seats, bushings, rear support brackets and shifter all replaced, all taking 2 visits to do,as have to wait for parts! Im upside down & have to keep.

Excellent ride. Smart styling. Good fit and finish inside and out. Leather seats are firm and comfortable for a big driver. All the doors open wide.

  • Unhappy Owner in New York/Florida - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

I have been very disappointed. The first week of ownership I needed two tows in Florida. I immediately purchased a new battery when stranded a second time. The seats are rock hard and the seat belt buckle cuts into my hip. Then car had some kind of transmission burning and needed a transmission replacement. I was first towed and paid $300 to recover my car. I have to drive 80 miles to the closest dealer in upstate NY. After waxing the car about 4 times in 2 years the exterior paint job is looking shabby. The car always stalls out.The replaced transmission hesitates for 4 seconds and then jerks. It gets a horrible 11 to 17 mpg. The tires need replacing at 27,000 mile. The brakes need work now

  • Great car! - 2005 Kia Amanti

I never gave Kia motors much thought until one day on the internet I was doing some comparison shopping and the Amanti popped up, so I did a lot of research and decided to test drive the Amanti and when I did, it had me sold! My first impression was the nice interior, then the drive, which was smooth and quiet; when I stepped on the gas pedal I was amazed at the pep for a 200 horsepower engine. The car is well made, very tight inside and out. People are constantly looking and waving when Im going down the road. Ive had this car for three weeks and everyday I can not wait to get behind the wheel! Test drive this car and you want be disappointed.

  • Love hate relationship - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

Bought this car for the wife. We both love the car. The fit finish and comfort are great. The gas mileage is terrible. The cost of maintaining the car has been far too high. I seem to have to buy several new headlights a year at around $80 a pop. Just had the mandatory 60K service and the tab was $1,300. Replaced the timing belt as recommended. The belt had zero sign of wear on it and will not do it again at 120K if we still have it. They will make you buy a new hydraulic tensioner when they do the job. They charge me $189 for that very simple device. Overall cost of maintenance is out of control and my make me shy away from another KIA in the future. Transaxle had to be replaced at 39K.

  • I love My Amanti - 2005 Kia Amanti

This car is fantastic. I love everything about it. I only have two complaints about the car. The fuel mileage is not as advertised -- I get about 15.7 miles to the gallon in city driving. The other complaint is the horn -- far too soft and sounds like it belongs in a economy tuna can car. Ive owned the car for 13 months now and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I have not had to go back to the dealer for anything other than oil changes. The car was sold to me perfect! It is a great car to own and drive and I just cant say enough good things about it.

  • Love my Car! - 2005 Kia Amanti

I have owned my Amanti for about 5 months and I have never driven a more comfortable, reliable car. The interior & exterior design, sun roof, color (a nice light gold) all make it a real looker. I have driven SUVs for several years, and became tired of "bumpy" rides and no back seat. This car has all the roomy features, and a huge trunk space. I got it slightly used, and its as clean as a whistle!

  • Love this car! High quality for less $$s - 2005 Kia Amanti
    By -

Bought Optima for my son and was very impressed with quality and warrenty. Thirty days later we bought the Amanti because of the styling, price, quality and excellent warranty. This car is fun to drive, extremely comfortable...especially the back seat (used as a limo in Korea). This car turns heads in the USA...guys are draw to the styling and love the interior. Has all the bells and whistles for $10,000 less than the competition.
