Overview & Reviews
An AM/FM/CD stereo and a tilt steering wheel are now standard on all 2004 Jeep Wrangler models. A new aluminum wheel design is standard on Sahara models and optional on Sport models. Right-hand-drive versions are also available for fleet utility service. A Columbia Edition option package is also new for 2004.
- Cheap, fun to drive, classic styling, go-anywhere capability.
- Soft top a handful to manipulate, difficult ingress-egress, slow steering, bouncy suspension on the street.

Always wanted 1, Glad held out for this - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By MicheleS - May 11 - 10:00 amWhen I purchased my Jeep everyone worried I would suffer from buyers remorse since it was such a big change from my Honda Civic EX 4 door. I love this car and cant wait to go driving in it. It handles much better then any Jeep I have ever driven and I still smile when I get behind the wheel. I wouldnt trade it in for anything.

Go Anywhere - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Rocking - May 11 - 10:00 amBesides my 04 Rubicon I also have a 2000 Sport 5m. Both have dual tops. The 2000 gets 17 mpg the Rubicon gets 12 MPG. I drive both the same. Its time to bring out the turbo diesel 4 cyl and see what it can do. Dont get me wrong I would buy it again. But like others my 3/4 ton chevy 4X4 gets 17 mpg. I am headed to Moab next week Ill see how it holds up.

I LOVE MY RUBY - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Wiz OIIIIIIIO - April 3 - 2:00 amHad Vette convertibles for many years, and the Ruby is just as much fun to drive. Jeeps and Vettes both have the "wave". Can go many places offroad in 2wd, that in other vehicles you would need to be in 4wd. Just a FUN vehicle.

nice car- but mine keeps breaking down. - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By bobsanfran - February 15 - 10:00 amI love my 1998 Sahara Wrangler but after 66,000 miles it lives in the shop now. Every 10,000 miles - some thing breaks. 66,000 miles the Radator broke 70,000 the AC compressor siezed 74,000 the Exaust manafold craked 80,000 the clutch unit and other transmission parts needed to be replaced 90,100 - in the shop again - the computer is broken - they are trying to see what broke it.

If you love Jeeps... - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Jerry R. - February 4 - 11:30 pmIve almost always owned one Jeep or another and currently own 2. If youre tired of dumping huge amounts of money into building a capable off-roader, get yourself into a Rubicon. Ill be starting with a Rubicon as a base for building from here on out because you just cant build a more serious off-road vehicle for the money. Buy one and drive it from the dealership directly to the nearest (and most extreme) trail and have fun knowing youll go anywhere! I love my 04 more than any Jeep Ive built (including a 59, 76 and an 88). The seats need lower lumbar support but its more comfortable by far than its predecessors. Save your "build-up" cash for something else - buy a Rubicon instead.

LIMITED USE BUT FUN - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By gsemike - November 26 - 2:00 amI had a great time tooling around Maui for a week in a Wrangler Sport. Its great fun but be aware of the limitations if youre buying this for an everyday driver. This is not a car based SUV like a RAV4 but rather a full time rear drive, live axle truck. Its extremely capable but rough around the edges. For the right people, that is a positive.

My first jeep - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Howard Arndt - November 15 - 10:00 amJust a few weeks ago I drove a jeep for the first time. I never considered one before because of hearing about how easy they were to tip over. Although after driving it I found that I felt just as safe in it as any other suv.

Too much FUN! - 2004 Jeep Wrangler
By Neophyte - September 28 - 10:00 amAwesome fun factor, but better as a second or third vehicle. Its unbeatable off road, but if you are considering all the car-like SUVs, remember that Wrangler is made with ONE purpose in mind: Off-road.
