This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Tucson is an all-new compact SUV from Hyundai. It rides on the Elantra platform and is intended for buyers who want a smaller package than the midsize Santa Fe.

Pros:
  • Generous warranty, standard ABS and stability control, roomy passenger and cargo space, attractive interior, standard side and head curtain airbags.
Cons:
  • Low horsepower rating, some cheap interior materials here and there.

I have been a car owner since 1952. This is the most fun to drive of any car I have had. The front wheel drive is adequately powered to make the steering delicious, especially with a small turning radius. This gives outstanding control. In other words, you go very clealy to whereever you point the vehicle. You have to try it to feel it! The interior is "vanilla" in good industrial esthetic taste, but for this price, considering every other luxury feature, I cant complain.

I love the vehicle.Fun to drive gas mileage is o.k. about 19 mpg city 25 hwy.Smart looking, ample cargo room.Inside plastics are a bit cheesy and cloth seats could use some updating on design. Stability control is really great.I have the wood trim package and it dresses up the interior nicely. I plan on owning this vehcle for many years. The only fault I find with this vehicle is it is a bit sluggish even with 6cyl. engine. Other than that I love my Tucson!

This SUV is great. Good gas mileage, rides like a very expensive car, awesome 6 cd stereo, heated leather seats my wive loves, plenty of head room, six air bags, stability control, abs brakes. This SUV has it all for only $ 20,000. I truly recomend this SUV

The wife and I were looking for a SUV without the SUV price. We are also planing for a family and LOVED ALL THE BELLS and WHISTLES on the Tucson LX that came standard. We treated ourselves. It was worth the jump from GL to LX The Autoplex mall here in Hawaii was no pressure and traded in our VW Jetta and never looked back.

My backbacker magazine introduced me to the Tuscon and I stopped in the local dealer on a saturday night and took a test drive, wow this was it, I ended up buying it a week later on a thursday night when a fresh delivery arrived with the exact model i wanted, silver with a sunroof. The ride is very stable, the suspension and tires are firm and smooth riding. Spacious interior. The only thing I dont like is the gas mileage, although it may be just that it has an accurate guage. my other cars never dipped off of full in the first 50-75 miles. But this dips quicker. so maybe its just accurate. Thus I dont have any complaints. I opted for the 10/100 all around bumper to bumper and powertrain.

This is such a fun car to drive. Has the pep to move in traffic but still gets good gas mileage, Only need a homelife garage door opener

  • My first Hyundai - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

I have only had this SUV for 2 months. I traded in a Honda Accord and was concerned about the quality of a Hyundai. I test drove the Toyota RAV, and Honda CR-V. They were okay, but I hate having the spare tire hanging on the tail gate. Honda also goes cheap when adding extras like sun shade tint on windshield and a decent front center arm rest. When I drove the Tucson, it was fun and the ride is excellent.

  • Best Mid-size SUV out there - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

It is fun and drives very well. The suspension is great and it handles better on curves than other SUVs Ive driven. The engine is smooth runing and the automatic shifts VERY smoothly. My only complaint is wind noise at 55 MPH. It could be a little quieter. The sound system is great! And best of all, the seats are comfortable. Id have no trouble recommending this car to anyone who is unsure about buying a model in its first year on the market.

  • THE "SMART" BUY - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON

This is Dads commuting SUV. I wanted something that affordable, cost efficient for commuting, and fit in the garage nicely. The fact that this card was only 170 inches long meant that I could park in the garage and still have room for the kids bikes. (32 inches shorter than my old Intrepid.) I compared the CRV, Escape, and Tribute, Escape, and Santa Fe, Sportage. You just could not match the value of the Korean vehicles. I decided I like the look and Styling of the White Tuscon over Kia and other models. To each there own.
