  • The Knight Rider Minivan - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I share many of the same comments as the other reviewers. My wife quickly got over the stigma of SUV vs. Minivan. It was basically between this and the Toyota and it was pretty neck and neck until I test drove the Toyota. It just did not compare to the Honda. The Honda really moves and has great handling. Evidently I got the last one in the NYC area in this color/model for the next several weeks...

  • Excellent Van - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Bought the EX-L new. Bad: Paint job-scratches easily. Wind noise-Honda replaced seals as a recall, but still noisy. Steering pump-Honda also fixed steering pump under warranty. Good: The van is extremely comfortable. Drives excellent-like a car. Good power, handling, and brakes. Excellent in snow. Tons of room in back even with seats up. Fuel Economy=18city/27highway-great for a heavy and tall van w/244hp. Replaced tires at about 36,000 miles not sure why other reviews say Michelins required b/c my replacements are GoodYear @ $120/tire. Few minor problems were unexpected for a Honda. Still much better quality and ride than my two Caravans. Would definitely choose the Odyssey again.

  • Love this van! - 2005 Honda Odyssey

We bought this car for our 2 kids & 2 large dogs. It has fit everyone and everything (e.g. drywall, twin mattresses.) Weve kept it maintained with oil changes, brakes, 1 new battery, and tires every 60K miles. The only issue was a fuel pump replacement, but was under warranty. We drive 22K mpy and have 120K miles and I plan to keep it for another 100K. Our previous car was a Ford Exploder. DO NOT PLACE GOODYEAR TIRES on this car. Stay with the regular Michelin for a smoother more fuel efficient ride. Added rear view circle mirrors for viewing blind spots. Minor paint chipping, molding deteriorating and plastic covers/hooks breaking but expected with age, wear and tear. Id buy another Honda.

This is One of the Best Minivans you can you. Me and My Wife were planning to buy a SUV but after looking at the Odessey it took us minutes to change our mind. The New 2005 Looks Great from Interior and Exterior.Really Classy. I have a toyota so we were deciding between a Sienna and a Odessey ... Both are Pretty Similar Except that Honda is Cheaper than Toyota with Same Features. Pros : Everything Cons : None

    Very easy to drive.

  • Awesome MiniVan!!! - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Great vehicle for the family. One issue when shifting from 2nd to 3rd shift, you can feel the gears shift under the car. This only happens when you initially turn on the car and drive. After that, shifting is smooth. I would recommend this vehicle to any family.

  • An excellent minivan - 2005 Honda Odyssey

The new 2005 Odyssey is a wonderful vehicle. It is a delight to drive with ample power to handle just about everything you throw at it. Honda made a few decisions that are hard to understand, primarily the lack of HID headlamps. For a high end vehicle, this should be a must in 2005. The center console also only fits in the second row, it would have been much more useful in the first row.

  • Best Vehicle We Have Ever Owned - 2005 Honda Odyssey

This vehicle surpasses all of our expectations when you consider average mileage of 23.10 MPG, no maintenance issues and a comfortable ride. We are sold on Honda if this vehicle is representative of their other models. We do normal suburban driving and occasional trips not exceeding 1000 miles round trip.

  • Top Ride - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I love my odyssey. It is luxury for a great price. The kids love the entertainment system and the leather is luxurious. Gets great gas mileage; averaging 24 on the highway and about 20-21 puttering around town. Safety ratings are great and I feel safe traveling with my family. I would highly recommend the odyssey. It is worth the money.

  • This vehicle is the "real deal"! - 2005 Honda Odyssey

This has been the best vehicle we have ever owned (out of over 40). We had a 2003 Odyssey that was a great car, but the 2005 is a quantum leap forward in all aspects! As retirees, we use it mostly as a trip car and always feel safe and secure. We drove 900 miles in one day last fall and couldnt believe how comfortable the leather seats were (Im very sensitive to seats as I have lumbar problems). The quality of the ride is outstanding as well as the ease in using the controls, especially cruise. Handling is more like a car than a van (much improved vs 2003). On trips, we usually average better than 26 mpg while driving 70-75 mph.
