  • Great vehicle - 2005 Honda Odyssey

This is the best van on the market.I have been in other vans both American and Japanese but this is the best. All the controls are rock solid and the engine goes from 6 to 3 cylinders without any noticable difference in engine power. The seats are great and easy to convert.I would recomend this van to anyone. Its the best. It drives and handles like a car and the engine has the power needed to pass without any difficulty.

  • Forget stigma, look at the convenience - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I was fixing to purchase another SUV, a friend told me to at least consider and test drive a minivan. We have three kids. I had a Totoya Sequoia previously. I couldnt get over that we actually had more space for the kids in the minivan. I figured cargo space would be less behind the third row seats, it wasnt. Plenty of cargo room, and such versatility in this minivan. I had a stigma about not wanting to drive a minivan (I use to think it was for much older people). I got over that quickly after seeing and driving my family around in it. I love the features inside, but when you get out of it-it is still a minivan. Not a sporty look, but I would give that up again for this vehicle!

  • A super car - 2005 Honda Odyssey

The head rests are tilted forward enough to muss up my wifes hair - she turned them around and is now happy, but i dont know how effective the now are.-------------The merry go round under the floor in the middle sec. Is completely worthless. I removed mine and it is for sale [unused] for a cheap price.---------One of the tires lost most of its air in 45 days, two times. They had to replace the cast wheel, it had a very small defect. A fine car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tech. needs to be refined. - 2005 Honda Odyssey

It is going on approx. 2 wks, so the infatuation has diminished. It is still an excellent vehicle, except for the glitches btw. the voice command, radio, and navigation. Sometime the navigation freezes up and will not respond. Sometimes the radio will just stop playing for no apparent reason. I believe it is all occuring from the voice interface. When everything is working correctly, the vehicle is magnificent. When they are not, it leaves a little to be desired.

  • Amazing - Luxury Van - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Outstanding vehicle. It actually feels more like a large European luxury sedan. Plenty of power, excellent handling, well thought out, luxurious interior. Weve owned a 99 Odyssey and a 2004 Pilot. I thought the interior on the Pilot was a big upgrade on the 99 Odyssey. Well the 05 interior on the Odyssey is amazing. Honda could have slapped an Acura badge on this thing and it would have sold. Unless you need AWD, the Odyssey is the clear choice for families. By the way, it does nicely in the snow. The overall quality of the vehicle makes me feel like Im driving a $50k+ luxury car. At less than $30k out the door for a EX-L, its a steal.

  • Best car Ive ever owned - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I am SO happy with my purchase. I debated between the Sienna and the Odyssey for some time and I am very glad I chose the Odyssey. Feature for feature, the Odyssey is a much better value. The ride is very smooth, steering is tight, seating is comfortable, and the brakes are very responsive. Having never owned a foreign car before, I feel I have been missing out. I am sold on Honda.

  • Best van we even leased - 2005 Honda Odyssey

Since day one both my wife and I loved it. We had 2 problems. The top glove compartment didnt close right, they had to add a piece of foam to get it to close. Also noise issue when on freeway, turns out the windshield seal was a little loose at one corner, all got fixed under warranty and the wipers dried up in six months(tx weather). Other than there minor issues we love the fact that it shuts off 3 cylinders when slowing down or cruising down the freeway and my kids love the dvd player. Sound quality is great. We had an 04 odyssey and we thought they couldnt top it, they did.Great van, for any mom or day.The leather is the way to go w/ kids, everything comes off right away.

  • Mini van hater loves Hondas Odyssey - 2005 Honda Odyssey

I swore I would never drive a minivan and 3 kids and 2 dogs later, here I am. I love my van. The only thing that I wish I had was the rear camera. It should be standard on all models. I love the way the van handles. It is as zippy as my Acura integra was. The rear opening windows are a must for kids as is the remote doors. We were involved in a near miss t-bone collision when someone ran a stop sign, and I am positive that my stability control saved my families lives. I cant say anything bad about this van!

  • 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY EX-L - 2005 Honda Odyssey
    By -

We compared side by side the honda odyssey & toyota sienna. Hands down, for the price, the odyssey had more features, which when added to the sienna would have cost much more. it has a 6-cd changer, easy to fold down 3rd row seats, second row sunshades, 8th seat, dual power sliding doors, stability control & 3 rows of airbags. we opted for the EX with leather, but no video or navigation system. Honda charges about $1700 for their entertainment system ... we got a portable dvd with 10" screen that hangs on the back of the headrest for less than $400 at walmart.com. Also, you can get a nice navigation system at circuit city or a store like that for around $1000, much less than the honda one.

This van has updated styling, plenty of practical, nifty features. Buyers - compare the practicality of the Pilot vs the Ody and youll see - from easier access to better power, unless you NEED AWD go for the van. Its a sign that good cars CAN be built in America with proper planning / engineering. Power everything is great, ease of driving excellent, comfort excellent!
