This Year's Model Updates:

The Odyssey gains a number of improvements this year. Included with the Odyssey 2.1 upgrade is more power, a new five-speed transmission, standard rear disc brakes and side airbags, optional leather seating and DVD entertainment, two new exterior colors and minor interior storage refinements.

Pros:
  • Excellent crash-test scores, huge interior, fold-flat third-row seat, powerful V6, optional navigation and entertainment system, a bargain at sticker price.
Cons:
  • Slow power sliding doors, dealer markup still a possibility.

PURCHASED AN EXX AND HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS SIDE STRUT BEFORE SALE WAS FINALIZED. I GUEST THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIGNAL. THE FRONT SEATS ARE NOT VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE DRIVERS SEAT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS NOT FASTENED WHEN MAKING A HARD TURN. VERY DISAPPOINTED THUS FAR. WHEN I HAVE TO START A LAUNDRY LIST 1 MONTH AFTER MAKING THE PURCHASE, ITS MAKES ME WONDER IF I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE TOWN & COUNTRY EX.

No more back aches. Loading three into car seats in an SUV was not fun, but with our Odessey, we look forward to getting out of the house. Great attention to detail and fun to drive. Quiet on the road and handles bumps exceptionally well.

Had a 99 Dodge Grand Caravan. What a difference. Lots more power, better suspension, handling, and ride. Read the reviews from everyone and dont understand complaints from those former Chrysler owners and the guy who was talked out of buying a MPV. We looked at the MPV. You must be kidding. That van(?)is not even comparable to the Honda. The Honda meets or exceeds all our expectations. Although, I dont understand why Honda cant keep up with demand. I think this is just a marketing scheme to keep the price up. But as long as Chrysler keeps marking their minivans up as high as they do, than the Odyssey is still a better deal. In a word: AWESOME!

I love this van. I really wish that the vehicle could have a little better gas reading from the fuel guage. Showes empty even tho you have 5 gallons or more left in the tank. . And some other things I like to be changed is heather controls closer to the drivers seat.

I bought this car for my wife to drive, and as it turns out I want to drive it all the time. The performance on this vehicle blows the competition away with its 240 horsepower, 5 speed transmission, and 4 wheel independent suspension. It is as fun to drive as any minivan gets. Put that together with the excellent crash test ratings and functional interior and you have a great minivan.

When my wife and I bought this van, we drove it to Yellowstone. Truly, never was a better travel vehicle ever built! This vehilce hauled camping equipment, 2 weeks of supplies and three adults from Michigan to Wyoming. Even in the mountains of Wyoming, there wasnt even the slightest bit of hesitation from the Odyssey. The seats were comfortable even after 12 hours behind the wheel. I would have no hesitation recommending this vehicle to others.

Very comfortable, good handling, sits up high and easy to see out while driving. The back seat is comfortable to sit on. The cargo space and fold down third seats are very handy.

  • IS THIS A HONDA OR A YUGO? - 2002 Honda Odyssey

7000 miles later, there are rattles from all different locations in the interior of the vehicle that no dealership can see to find let alone fix. The real gas milage is more like 15 mpg in the city and 18 on the highway not 18/25 like it said when I had purchase it. The ride was bumpy new and even bumpier now after a whole 7000 miles, the wind noise drives e crazy. I was talked out of buying the MPV and paid $4500 more when my friend bought a MPV for less money and it ten times happier with his purchase. This cars rattles, guzzles gas, is noise, and bumpy, not to meantion the power doors choose to work when it pleases and the transmission jerks at times when engaged???????????

  • No other van comes close!! - 2002 Honda Odyssey

Well worth the wait!! I drove just about every van on the market and decided nothing compares with the Odyssey. No rebates, discounts or special financing could change my mind either. This is a great, intelligently thought out van. It drives like a sports car and is extremely versatile for the family. Hauled the family and 2 dogs (1 being a Great Dane) on a 9hr. trip with no problems. Every other van manufacturer has alot of catching up to do!! This is THE MINIVAN for the "NON- MINIVAN" person!!!
