  • pulling to the right - 2006 Honda CR-V

My CRV pulls to the right and sometimes the left. It is not consistent so the dealership says it will be "hard to find". They also said Hondas are built to pull to the right in case you fall asleep at the wheel! I find it very annoying. I also dont like that you cant lock the doors before you get out and shut the door. And as a minor irritant, the door locks situated so that my husband and I always think its the window control. I think it should also have daytime running lights. I intend to trade this vehicle in next fall. I owned a CRX for 8 years and totally loved it. Again, these are just my complaints Hondas overall, I believe, are great vehicles.

  • Going great at 120K miles! - 2006 Honda CR-V

This car used to have some alignment problems in the first 3 years after I bought it new . After that , no repairs except for scheduled maintenance. Recently put in new drive belt and hoses (recommended after 100k). Runs great. planning to keep it forever !

  • Our First Honda-A wise choice! - 2006 Honda CR-V

This is our first Honda CR-V. We decided on the SE model because of all the options it offered. In general I like the vehicle but I do have some problems with the interior. It has ample power, gets good highway gas mileage, and is very comfortable on long trips. Everything is close to the driver and the steering wheel controls are intelligently placed, although the cruise control on/off switch could have been placed in a better spot. We were able to store tons of luggage for the annual Christmas Trip from Evansville IN to San Antonio Tx. We are very pleased with our investment.

The 2006 is everything I thought it would be and more. Looked at all in its class and no other compares. Got the 5spd manual to get the extra horses from the engine and Im glad I did. Ride, handling and acceleration are very good. Recommend this vehicle to anyone! Like it better than the 2007.

  • It will get you to A to B but with headaches - 2006 Honda CR-V
    By -

I own a 2006 Honda CR-V with 180,000 miles on it. So far it has been a reliable car with a lot of headaches. First off my model had the faulty airbag that, if set off could send bits of shrapnel into your neck and face causing severe injury or death. Got the recall about a year ago in 2015 and I have been driving this car for almost 10 years. So right off the bat safety wise is a no go. Thank God I did not get into an accident that would have set the airbag off. If your interested in this car MAKE sure the one you are buying has had the airbag replaced at the dealership. I say reliable as in you can drive this car into the dirt and it will still keep on driving. Thats the only thing I like about this car after many years of driving it. Right from the start it had road noise, needed a new starter (still have starter issues), and after 15,000 miles I already had warped rotors. Now at 180,000 miles my rotors warped again and I have had wobbles and jitters throughout the coarse of owning this car. The fuel pump had to be replaced 3 times over the course of my ownership. I keep having to replace the headlights every 4 to 6 months as they burn out really fast. As an SUV type of car handling around corners isnt really great as you feel like you are going to tip over so you have to slow down. I dont drive recklessly; I drive carefully. Maybe I just got a lemon but if you dont want a car that will cause you headaches constantly dont get it. If you are willing to spend the money on replacing parts and having them go out 4 months later go ahead. Again the only thing I like about this car is that reliably; you can drive it in the dirt and keep on driving but in a car reliable to me is having a car that will drive and maintenance is a breeze. Overall its been a great car to have to run into the dirt (MPG not that great for a 4 cylinder) but Im tired of continuously spending money on problems that keep surfacing and I know the CR-V is tired as well. So Im finally selling it and getting another car. Brand new I should have bought another car, but I drove this CR-V with constant problems. Again maybe I got a lemon. The end? Im never buying another Honda; lesson learned. I mean my girlfriends dads 2005 Chevy 1,500 has not had as many problems as my car has and he has spent significantly less in repairs and maintenance over the years of owning that truck.

  • I look at it in every window I drive by - 2006 Honda CR-V

I had a 2003 Pilot and enjoy the CRV much more. I feel sporty yet safe with the Realtime AWD. Its white with the window & moonroof visors. I dont have anything bad to say about the vehicle, I love it. Drove it from WV to Mt. Rushmore, SD in July, it was comfortable, dependable, the epitome of sweet.

  • watch out below - 2006 Honda CR-V

Very nice traveling car, excellent seats for long trips, both front and rear. Ride, handling, acceleration are very good. The manual is very quick (8.7 seconds 0-60) and fun to drive. Comfortably towed a 1200 lbs. trailer over 4000 miles in mountain west with adequate power. Some torque steer on hard acceleration. Worst feature: vulnerable fuel tank, evap recovery cannister, and subframe in rear. Had a $1600 repair from driving on a gravel road with some rocky outcroppings. This is really a suburban car, OK in snow and mud, not suitable for roads that are at all rough. Design is optimized for comfort, space. All-wheel drive requires front wheel-spin before it engages.

  • Its simply beauty - 2006 Honda CR-V

It is a suv so compare it with suv lines. I cant even take my eyes off my beautiful white shinning baby. I got compliments from people all the time. I know it is a eye-catcher and drive like a champ. The steering wheel operates like a car. I cant say enough good things about it. After all, it is a car, and you have to feel the passion and pride to own one.
