  • Buy a CRV, 20mpg is a lot better than 13 - 2006 Honda CR-V

I can understand the frustration of people that expected 23mpg. The tag on the car says that is a national average. The small print says 19 to 23. I am getting 20 in the city. The XM Ready thing might be considered mis-leading but that logo is the industry standard for telling people they need to buy a receiver. Over all the CRV is working out great. I added the arm rest, day/night mirror, window tint, rubber matts and other features. All should be part of the base but it would make the CRV cost more. I think overall its a good buy and will hold value when other cars lose value. If you add one thing at the dealer, get the mirror and tinting. It makes for better over all driving experience.

  • Great SUV - 2006 Honda CR-V

I like almost everything about the car. I was looking for an all wheel drive, that got good mileage and was comfortable. The Lexus was nicer but $15,000 more. This car has a lot of very user friendly touches, I do miss automatic climate control and power seats. On a long trip I would kill for about 4 more inches of leg room. Plenty of power, the automatic speed control works well – even in the PA mountains.

  • Something to think about - 2006 Honda CR-V

I purchase one of the only two white CRVs with manual drive. I wished I had went ahead and purchased the automatic, but my husband was worried about power going up the Grapevine and Tehacapi Mountains that surround us. The gear shift needs to be raised about 3" taller and there are no arm rests for the driver or passenger front seats. The clutch is very smooth and effortless, and does give the vehicle the ability to drop to a lower gear and pass without effort. The ride is wonderful and what we wanted for all the traveling we plan to do, and the AWD allows us to not worry about what time of the year or where we are going.

  • Great little vehicle - 2006 Honda CR-V

Ive owned my CR-V for less than a month & only have about 800 miles on it, but early returns are very positive! It is flexible, agile, roomy, and fun to drive. Ive been getting gas mileage right at the EPA estimated 22 city & looking forward to a road trip next month. I evaluated a couple of dozen vehicles and drove 10 or 12 before finally settling on the CR-V. It is a compromise vehicle...not as fast, roomy, powerful, flexible, sexy, economical, etc., etc., etc., as some, but IMHO offers the best possible combination of features.

  • For the Family - 2006 Honda CR-V

Having a new baby I was looking for something safe, and bigger than a car. After making my comparisons it came down to the RAV4 and CRV, leaning towards the RAV4 I went to test drive the CRV. I could not belive how well it handled, its get up and go and it didnt feel like I was driving a tank. Overall after driving it for a couple of weeks now I couldnt be happier with any other vehicle.

  • I love my Honda! - 2006 Honda CR-V
    By -

Just sold my 95 Accord and needed a new vehicle. Of course it had to be a Honda. Saw the CRV SE and it was love at first sight. Had features I always wanted, safety, good looks and fun to drive. My first moonroof ever and I use it every day. Almost as peppy as the Accord V6 was, and that surprised me since I shy away from 4 bangers. Good gas mileage for around town, especially with the high price of gas. Very happy with the CRV SE.

  • With a CR-V, forget about the Rav4! - 2006 Honda CR-V

I test drove the Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Tuscon, Saturn Vue, Mitsu Outlander. The CR-V beat them hands down in every way. I should know, I buy new cars every 3-4 years. ROCK SOLID HONDA build. I used to have a DODGE Durango, now I wish I had gotten this years ago. Dont bother looking elsewhere, just get this!

  • Very fun to drive! - 2006 Honda CR-V

Ive had my 2006 CR-V for about a month, and I love it! It has the benefits of an SUV, such as sitting up high, but is still compact and easy to maneuver and drive. It handles well and looks great.

  • Not really xm ready - 2006 Honda CR-V
    By -

I love my CR-V, I really do, but Honda left a bad taste in my mouth with the "xm ready" feature. The advertising as well as the OWNERS MANUAL make it seem like you just call up XM to activate your radio, the radio even has an xm button on it. You do have to call XM to activate it, but you cant call untill you have them install the $539 xm receiver.
