This Year's Model Updates:

Honda has added a new trim level for 2002, the SE. The Accord SE is based on the LX four-cylinder coupe or sedan trim level with an automatic transmission. Features setting the SE apart from LX models include an upgraded audio system, a driver seat power height adjustment, interior wood grain trim, antilock brakes, remote keyless entry and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Pros:
  • Great build quality, spacious interior, peppy yet clean engines, comfortable seats, excellent resale value, reputation for bulletproof reliability.
Cons:
  • Everybody drives one, bland personality, stiff highway ride.

  • DUPE ME BUT ONCE!!!!!! - 2002 Honda Accord

Honda cars are BOTH over priced AND over rated!!! I was promised EXCELLENT mileage (actual; 15/25), EXCELLENT build quality (rattles everywhere), EXCELLENT dealer relationship (theyve as much told me to stop talking to anyone about the problems with this gas hog and to go to H$%L). After twenty six months, this Honda Accord SE Coupe is in MINT condition with 28k miles, yet last month I was allowed 12,700 on a trade in. Go figure!!!!! Dupe me but ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a little over a year into a 3 year lease on a Honda Accord SE Coupe. My cash will NEVER go to Honda AGAIN! Little is as promised, bad mileage, pitiful quality, most of the 150 horses appear dead, headlights offer little light, rattles and squeeks everywhere. Service will have a long list of warrenty repairs before I dump this loser later this year. LOOK ELESE WHERE!!

Uncomfortable seating creates leg fatigue after 15 minutes even with adjustments, cheap fabrics have worn quickly, heater and a/c very slow, gas mileage is horrible (15/25), ride is akin to a buckboard, loose steering at highway speeds, an annouying rattle in the dash, low beams ineffective, plastic bumper cover paint no longer matches body color, etc. Dealer less than helpful. Honda provides no email address. HATE to be in it!

  • HONDA NEEDS A HELPING HAND - 2002 Honda Accord

I purchased my 2001 ex v6 Accord coupe based on the assumption that Honda builds a great car. That was a tragic error. My car has gone back to the dealer no less than 30 times for rattles, no start problems, and a loose front seat. My biggest complaint is the front drivers seat slips side to side and Honda cant seem to fix under my warranty nor will they provide a replacement seat I find the seat frightening that it cant support a 160 pound person!!!! The car is nothing short of glorified tin can. Honda has done one thing quite well and that is advertising how great their cars are.

  • I want my 99 Cavalier Z24 back!!!!! - 2002 Honda Accord

IF you can afford to buy or lease another make, DO IT! Ive had this Honda SE 2 door for 3 miserable weeks and will dump it as soon as I can. I thought I could be happy with it, after all, the lease payment was less than a 2002 Cavalier Sport Coupe, my first choice. Ive since discovered saving money isnt always worth it. I hate making mistakes! 1) BAD gas mileage 2) Overly responsive and unfeeling steering is terrifying at high speeds 3) Window buttons and cruise control buttons are in the wrong spot 4) Sunroof is reused from the 4 door and doesnt open all the way
