Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Dodge Charger is a new full-size sedan but shares many of its mechanical components with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.
- Striking looks for a sedan, Hemi V8, firm handling, refined ride, roomy and comfortable interior, reasonably priced.
- Looks plain from behind, some low-grade interior plastics, hefty curb weight.

Love my Hemi! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By CCCarter - September 14 - 11:50 amI love this car. I have driven a lot of different cars, but this one is the most fun, yet comfortable car I have ever owned. I love the feeling of it pushing me back in the seat when I punch the gas. I have had many comments on it and enjoy it when people tell me that it looks mean. It feels like a solid piece of machinery and handles great, even at very high speeds. I had a spoiler added to the back and had the windows tinted black to make it unique from others I have seen.

overall impressed - 2006 Dodge Charger
By happy so far - September 9 - 3:03 amGot the car almost a year ago. Now it has 55k miles. Paid $13k. Gas mileage is about 300 miles to the tank. Put 20s on it and it looks great. Love the exterior look. Got pinstrip down the doors to the trunk, didnt like it at first but it breaks up lines and it looks great. I knew the interior wasnt anything super. I like the White gauges. Will need to replace the power steering hose soon it is slightly leaking. Oh and tint all 5 Windows

Unhappy in Bay Area - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Unhappy Owner - August 19 - 12:13 pmI bought the car with 21,000 miles. I didnt start experiencing any problems until my car kept vibrating when I stopped. I had it checked and was told that my tire rods were worn. Then I started hearing a noise coming from the engine (a rocker shaft). After having this and a 90,000 mile service costs me $2087.00. Now my engine light constantly comes on. I was told to open the gas cap and let out some of the air. After reading a lot of the reviews, I noticed that this car should have had some recalls. Of course my extended warranty ended at 70,000.

The research paid off - 2006 Dodge Charger
By marlin95 - August 18 - 3:03 amThis Charger RT has the power to get up and go when you feel the need, but will also give you the gas mileage when you feel the need. I test drove the 06 Mustang GT and found the performance, styling and curb appeal of the Charger was head and shoulders above the Mustang. I have not been able to fuel up without someone approaching me to comment the beautiful looks of the car.

An amazing piece of machinery! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Kingtigre - August 17 - 9:30 pmI love this car! Top of line. Rides great! Corners effortlessly. Like a dream come true. Engine hums so quietly that I sometimes forget that its on. If you want a car that looks mean and plays nice, this is the car for you.

The car of my youth is back! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By spoonerock - August 2 - 4:56 amThis is the car I have been waiting for almost 25 years. My 1st car was the original 1966 model (with the 381 engine). Later, I also owned a 1972. Neither car had the famous Hemi engine (most in fact did not). The Charger was always the car with attitude! A car that each owner could personalize to fit their taste. The 2006 model will do the same. Off the showroom floor it is a "head turner", and a great car to drive. The Charger has evolved as did those of us who drove our "muscle cars" in the 70s. Now we can have our family car and relive our youth at the same time. Its great to able to have your cake & eat it too!

I Love it - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Guitarguru23 - July 27 - 4:43 amI love this car! Its very quiet, and the Hemi is amazing. I urge everyone to buy one while they are here. The transmission is seamless and the suspension is just right, at least with the R/T version. Styling is different that the plain stuff coming from the other companies. Wait until they come out with a Cuda.
