Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Dodge Charger is a new full-size sedan but shares many of its mechanical components with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.
- Striking looks for a sedan, Hemi V8, firm handling, refined ride, roomy and comfortable interior, reasonably priced.
- Looks plain from behind, some low-grade interior plastics, hefty curb weight.

Our Dodge Charger - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Chris Pape - March 24 - 6:58 pmThis is my wifes car and she loves it. We have driven it on long trips and completely enjoy the power and comfort of a Hemi Charger. She enjoys the security of being able to pull out in traffic without worry. Only negative is in the snow because the Hemi has so much power. But you just put it in 2nd or 3rd and she will handle it fine. Greta car!

2006 Charger R/T - 2006 Dodge Charger
By WARREN37 - March 19 - 10:00 amMy silver steel metallic R/T is so much fun to drive. the V8 with MDS gets me 28.5 mpg highway (no thats not a typo), so those boring drives to and from work dont drain my wallet. When I want to tear up the hometown over the weekend, she has plenty of power to turn heads. Granted, while "fun-driving" I get a much lower mpg, but thats not what you buy it for. The aggressive looking front-end practically pushes cars out of your way on the highway.

Love the Charger! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By vrvray - March 6 - 2:07 pmIm a snow bird and the R/T is a road car. The power levels out the hills in WV with total style and comfort. Mileage is as advertised providing you keep your foot out of it! That isnt easy to do! I averaged 26.6 mpg from Hartsville, SC to Tampa, FL. Cant beat it and boy do we get the looks, all black is the way to go!

SRT8 Charger - 2006 Dodge Charger
By pthead - March 3 - 2:06 pmI have an Inferno Red 2006 SRT8 Charger and absolutely love it. I love to drive it. Country roads, interstates, it doesnt matter. Tire have to be replaced about every 25000 miles and the gas mileage isnt the greatest but you dont buy a car like this for those reasons. You even get a free SRT8 Track Experience class when you buy one.

Great Car!!! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By deedo27 - January 28 - 8:23 pmBought this car when Mustang wanted couldnt be found. Wanted hemi, but settled for V-6, more affordable. Love the styling, reminds me of old Chargers...ride is smooth, and handles great, 50/50 weight distribution makes this car a real agile machine.

Awesome Vehicle - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Carl Tripodi - January 14 - 1:53 pmI just plain love my new 2006 Dodge Charger. I am finding any excuse to drive my Charger, and my kids love riding in it. The Charger is an awesome sight to behold, it looks and performs like a true muscle car. I have gotten nothing but compliments about my Charger. Everything rocks with the Charger, even the stereo. I hope Chrysler keeps it up, they seem to know what American cars are suppost to look like and perform.

Alot of bang for your buck! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Mike - January 1 - 9:13 pmI love my 2006 Charger. For the money- (I paid $29,995)-I got a black RT that is an absolute head turner. The only gripes I have are the placement of the cruise control lever(GOOFY), and the rear spoiler should have been standard- I had to buy mine off of EBAY. The review in Car & Driver does not do this car justice. There is no car out there that can give you Hemi power and "4" doors besides the 300C. I own a 2003 Ram 2500 with this same engine. I knew it could move my pickup in a hurry. I just had to see what it could do in the Charger. Wow!

Nice car overall - 2006 Dodge Charger
By vince - December 19 - 1:02 pmIve enjoyed this car since the day I purchased it. After 11 months of ownership, I still catch myself looking over my shoulder at it, as I walk away. Fun car to drive. The 3.5 V6 is more than enough power for most driving. Expected a bit better gas milage.. the V8 guys get close to what I get. Now Dodge has snared me with a well designed/good quality car, I may have to look at the new Challenger. Good job Dodge.

Yup, Its another Mopar alright - 2006 Dodge Charger
By DaMoparGuy - December 16 - 11:00 pmMopar is back with the return of the Charger. I think that they should have saved the return of the HEMI for the return of the Charger to make a huge come back, but hey, thats just me. This car is no slouch on the gas pedal, and less than half way up the rpm range, you realize what a Hemi is all about. This is an excellent reincarnation of the classic Mopar performance car.
