Still good as new - 2006 Dodge Charger
By luvmycharger - June 10 - 9:24 pmThis car has help up extremely well, the paint is the only thing I take issue with as there is some light fading only. Interior has help up very well, leather still in great shape. Performance is as strong as it was when new, brakes still strong with the original pads!!! Gas mileage varies with how hard you hit the HEMI, set the cruise at 70 and get 26.5 mpg, set it at 60 and get between 30-31 mpg! The best part is while getting those mpg #s it will still hit 60 in under 6 seconds, I think the only car I would replace this with would be the Challenger R/T or SRT- 8 or another Charger R/T or SRT-8. They all run as good as they look, plus they can carry 4 or 5 people in comfort and style.

Not a happy driver! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By IZTHELIZ - March 25 - 9:53 pmI love the style of the car, it does have blind spots, I have added smaller mirrors on the side mirrors to help with this. I am very disappointed in Dodge and their way of handling service. @ 26K needed new tires, have had 3 leaks in the transmission, @ 55K new tie rods, @ 61K diagnosed needed new struts and upper control arm (Dodge wont cover) @ 63K rocker arm in the engine needed to be repaired. The service manager said that this is a design issue (but Dodge hasnt done a recall?), vents are broke and a plastic piece on the drivers seat broke and the screw keeps coming out. Aux plug doesnt work anymore. Rusting as well.I have been very disappointed with this vehicle, already looking to trade.

By Tom - March 10 - 1:00 pmThe car has awesome performance. Great bang for the buck! MPG not the best for the power, but the MDS sure helps. The ride/handling with the stock R/T is a bit "Soft" - with the SRT8 suspension I put on, its much better! This is not your grannys family sedan. Its fast, stops on a dime and corners awesome. The biggest pet peeve is my left arm falls asleep on long drives due to the hardness of the drivers door armrest.

By Roadstar - March 9 - 5:43 pmThis car drives great and I have the SXT trim level. The 3.5 engine is plenty of power for most people and still have fun. The tie rods wore out a little early at 45,000 miles. All in all I love this car!

This is so aggrevating - 2006 Dodge Charger
By Never Again - February 26 - 3:51 amThe biggest, most complicated issue was eventually finding out that a "rattle" I was hearing from the engine area was actually a weld seam that came undone between the engine compartment and the firewall of the dash. My vehicle was in the shop for almost a month while the engine was completely taken apart and rebuilt. They welded the seam together and put everything else back. Luckily that started happening before the warranty ran out. Since then, various parts of my engine have made noises belts, cooling fan, etc. My exhaust manifold has been replaced twice already. Now my car is "chiming" while I drive, and the oil leaks--go figure! I do not suggest this vehicle.

Ate the original tires under 25000,Then around 50000 check engine light reared its ugly beam.Dealer came up with a $900.00 fix something about fixing valves with add on clamps?Never understood that,bought some gum out light stayed out for over 6000 then came back on.When I drive it there are just too many blind spots,the ride seems harsh,bump My head on the low roof,dont like not being able to rest arm on window sill.Now also finding out about tie rod problems,My guess the chassis is weak to handle stress of engine and rear wheel drive.

I love my charger! - 2006 Dodge Charger
By charger happy - February 9 - 9:54 pmI actually bought my 06 RT with 25000 miles on it and a minor crash with about 2000 dollars worth of damage to bumper, fender, roof. I got it fixed and then promptly hit an elk, car jumped it nicely. put black 18s on it,the car is metallic black and totally plain and I absolutely love it. Of course the hemi is awesome, I am totally stock, would like new exhaust for more sound but it is great just the way it is! Gas mileage is about 21 on the highway but I can NEVER keep my foot out of it, love to pass everyone uphill!

A car that has the power when needed to make those quick passes. Wink! Wink! A car you feel safe in when driving. But most of all... a car you can custom to fit your personality. Just remember, like all cars you will have your maintenance but with this car you can spend a few extra bucks and go high performance and not lose your shirt paying for the parts. If you enjoy muscle cars... GET IT. If you dont...dont waste your money. Pros... HEMI, comfort, style Cons... Cant think of any

The Beast - 2006 Dodge Charger

My husband had asked me to trade in my car for something more comfortable and has more room for the family, so I looked and looked, fighting the fact I needed something fast and muscle packed. Finally found this beast, and it was love at first sight. The power is so over whelming and so tuff to the human eye, but a soft comfortabe touch in side. The color is pearl black which turns heads everywhere I go. This is a keeper!
