The 2006 Dodge Charger is a new full-size sedan but shares many of its mechanical components with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum.

Pros:
  • Striking looks for a sedan, Hemi V8, firm handling, refined ride, roomy and comfortable interior, reasonably priced.
Cons:
  • Looks plain from behind, some low-grade interior plastics, hefty curb weight.

  • The Colonel Mosby - 2006 Dodge Charger

Went the distance and got a silver R/T w/Performance Group - well worth it, esp the leather seats. Mine is the only one in the hood and all are transfixed. Took it from Quebec to Georgia and back and smiled the whole time. The smooth sure performance of this machine amazes. Its 350 ponies yield so much mature, confident power I can only shake my head when some kid is foolish enough to provoke it by revving up his engine at a stoplight. This Dodge muscle car is King of the Road and all must concede the fact. I highly recommend it to anyone. But if you go for it, make sure its equipped with its legendary growling soul: the Hemi engine that makes the crazy sane and the sane crazy...

  • This is a fun v6 - 2006 Dodge Charger

This car is a perfect balance of fun and comfort rolled into a gas saving v6. I am impressed. Keep up the good work Dodge.

  • Great Car! - 2006 Dodge Charger

The Charger is the best car I ever owned. It has a great ride, the car is solid, and fun to drive. This is one of the best cars Chrysler made. The transmission is smooth, and the auto stick is great if you want to shift it yourself. The 3.5 has good power for a car this size, and the fuel mileage has been better then I thought it would be.

  • Awful in New York Snow - 2006 Dodge Charger
    By -

I love this car in the summer. It is beautiful and gets tons of comments. But if you live in an area like Upstate New York do not waste the money unless you have a winter car. Even with the ESP and snow tires this car is awful in the snow. During he non-snow months this car is wonderful. I wish I didnt need to dump it but after one winter I have to get rid of it. We have a local police department that has this car and even they have said that they had to sit the car for the winter because it is too unreliable in the snow.

I love my 2006 Dodge Charger SXT. I have owned it for almost a year. Love the power, the excellent handling and the looks it gets. This is my second time around with the Charger, I owned a 1986...had tons of problems with it. Go Dodge.

  • Very Satisfied - 2006 Dodge Charger

I have been captivated by the new Charger since first seeing them as the new county sheriff vehicles, in November I fulfilled my dream and bought one. Great car to own and drive, especially with the Hemi. Everyone at work just drools.

  • Talk about fun and RESPECT - 2006 Dodge Charger

What a fantastic car this is. The most fun Ive ever had. It looks great, runs just as smooth as glass, the SXT high power has plenty of speed. The "auto- stick" shifter is a kick to use. The sound system is terrific and the ride comfort is excellent. I cant say enough about this auto. I took it to "donut derelicts" in Huntington Beach and the guys really loved the car. I could have sold 15 of them for cash money. Ill never sell it.

  • Not Satisfied - 2006 Dodge Charger

My wife liked this car so we bought it, luckily, I dont drive it often. It is impressive looking, even if not to my taste. This car has the most limited visibility of any car I remember driving. I cannot see the trafic light if I am the first car at an intersection without literally moving my head under the windshield. The only unobstructed view is straight ahead. The car seems to be leaking something, not sure what that is yet. Glad I only leased this thing. Even with the leather interior, all of that beer cooler plastic elsewhere makes it cheap looking.

  • Go Mango! - 2006 Dodge Charger

Best car Ive ever owned, It never stops amazing me as to its abilities, I cannot count how many "awesome car" comments Ive received. Goes like stink, handles great, Great highway fuel is excellent over 30 mpg (I have switched to synthetic oil and relaced the air filter with an K & N)

  • Be Prepaired - 2006 Dodge Charger
    By -

If you buy this car be prepaired to spend over a $1000 a year in tires. The F1 Supercars only last about 18,000 miles. At $250 apiece it gets very expensive to drive. The fuel was a surprising factor, it actually does very well if you keep your foot out of it. I get 20mpg on the highway and 17 in the city. Not bad for 425hp. Dont even bother driving it in the winter or real cold weather, you litterly wont go anywhere. Tires stink in the slightest bit of snow. Overall, I would buy this car again, but only if you can finance it for 3 years then trade it off.
