Overview & Reviews
A midlevel Touring model is added to the Pacifica lineup, and the base model loses some of its standard equipment to accommodate a new lower price. Rear parking assist is now optional.
- Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
- Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, spotty reliability on early models.

Pretty good vehicle - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Ken R - September 21 - 11:26 pmSo far the Pacifica has performed pretty well. My wife drove it for the first 3 months that weve had it but she has issues with seeing out the back. We just got a Chrysler Town and Country. I now drive the Pacifica. It replaces the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that I have been driving for the last few years. The Grand Prix performed much better than the Pacifica but is no where near as comfortable as the Pacifica.

Love my Pacifica - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Michele - September 21 - 2:54 pmI love my Pacifica! I have driven it for 6 months now and it is by far the funnest, most comfortable, family friendly, stylish car we have ever owned or leased. We have driven to Southern CA in it when it was 2 months old (to us) and it was a beuatiful drive. Very quiet and a smooth ride. Overall, I am very happy with everything in and on my Pacifica.

05 PAC AWD - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By turbanski - September 11 - 12:58 pmI have the 05 touring model with 19" wheels. Living in the northeast the AWD with 19" wheels has proven to be unstoppable in winter. Overall, no problems with the vehicle. I have returned to dealer twice for factory recalls, but did not experience any recall related problems.

Pacifica as compared to - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Glen Craft - September 11 - 10:00 amI owned a Dodge Durango that I traded on this Pacifica. Th durango more resembled a truck than a car.I get better gas mileage in town with the pacifica , than I did on the road with the Durango

2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By ScottAijo - September 11 - 10:00 amI purchased my Pacifica in June of 2004 and have been delighted with it ever since. I took it on a trip to Canada to visit family and the mileage was almost 28 mpg. With Canadian gas at roughly 4 bucks a gallon this meant a lot. It is a good looking car thats fun to drive. Its got some head turning looks, too. My only complaint is that the rear window should be wider.

Chrysler Convert - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By dc-in-Colorado - September 11 - 10:00 amMy wife loved it the first time she saw it, up to now you couldnt pay me to own a Chrysler. We went on vacation in June and the Pacifica was available as a rental. I figured wed drive it for a couple of weeks and that would get it out of my wifes system. Then we could get on with buying something worth owning; like a BMW or a Mercedes. I have to admit we both liked it, It just seemed a little plain. We held off till August to look at a 2005. The dealer was able to get us everything we wanted; color, interior, nav system, dvd, air-bags, etc... Weve put 5k on it so far. The ride is great, performance is good, I like it more every day. This cars a winner

Enjoyable ride for a family car - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Rusty P. - September 3 - 3:40 amWe purchased the Pacifica 5 months ago because of its interior room and styling. With 3 children (ages 15, 16, 20), we needed something that was comfortable for a family of 5 adults and the Pacifica delivered comfort for all. It has a very smooth ride and the handling is outstanding, especially for a vehicle that large. The feel on the road is solid. Acceleration from a stop is not impressive, but once the car gets moving, acceleration is excellent. Cargo space with all of the seats in use is limited, but each of the 4 seats fold out of the way independently, giving you lots of options. Gas mileage is consistent- about 19 mpg in mixed city driving. There have been no reliability issues

Pacifica Review - 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
By Linda Huffman - September 1 - 7:56 pmVisibility poor. Too many blind spots and back window much too high and small. Center console not designed for the convenience of the driver. Road noise when windows are up is a disapointment.
