This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

The 2004 Pacifica AWD is a very nice vehicle overall, from the fantastic exterior design to the very spacious and comfortable interior. This vehicle has been very reliable and a pleasure to drive for the past two years. This vehicle could have been rated an excellent vehicle by me, if Chrysler would have improved the following areas: Increase engine power add vision system to increase rear-view sight during parking improve awful vanity mirror lighting add durable cover to top of rear bumper to protect it from cargo damage Add identical upgraded 19-inch rim option for spare tire add video screen to dash for front passenger improved difficult 2nd row seating access to 3rd row seating.

Short but sweet: what it lacks in looks on the outside, it more than makes up for with plush appointments on the inside. I was absolutely stunned with the endless list of standard features and beautiful options. And extremely safe too!

  • great quality for chrysler - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

We were tired of our ford explorer so we traded it in on a pacifica. The quality of this car is superior to other chrysler vehicles. It feels like a mercedes when you drive it. Fit and finish are very good. Its solid and stabile on the road. We thought about purchasing a volvo, but third row seating did not compare to this car, you can really only carry 4 adults, this car can carry six. Power is adequate for this size ca. Fuel economy is not great, although in line with other automobiles with the same curb weight.

  • Nice Car - Needs some tweeks - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Overall my wife and I love the car. Get lots of comments on the exterior design. Easy to get kids in and out of. However, have been slightly disappointed in the initial build quality. Have had to replace front ball bearings and lift gate mechanism with less than 3,000 miles. Expected more with this being the first true joint vehicle since the merger with Mercedes.

  • Pacifica 2 month review - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I bought my Pacifica as a business car to replace a 2001 Buick LeSabre. Im in sales and spend a lot of time in my car, 25K to 30K annually. Im also a big man and needed a car big enough to feel comfortable in for so many hours at a time. Pacifica gave me all the room I needed, both laterally for hips and shoulders, as well as lots of leg and foot room. I can extend my left foot under the brake pedal and lock my left knee straight out. Not bad room for someone 63". Interior wise, theres as much room across the front as my LeSabre. Front passenger leg and seat room are also outstanding. Back seat room in the bucket seats is amazing.

  • Should be more reliable - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I am not happy with the reliability of this car. Items that have broken and been replaced. Front grill faded front suspension-both sides replaced EGR valve (which broke on leaving for our vacation and we missed the getaway. The car sounded like it had no exhaust and a lot of heat was entering inside passenger compartment) leaking sunroof (not replaced because warranty expired, even though the car mileage is still just 31000) annoying rattle inside drivers door, which was fixed but returned after warranty expired rattle under hood at highway speed into the wind, which is very annoying nav-DVD does not sidestreets in SW Michigan, where I live. Climate control display shorts-out, etc...
