This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

  • Fantastic ride - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

We bought our AWD Pacifica last March in order to get to our new house in the Catskills. Its a fantastic ride. Styling and quality are the best Ive seen in an American made car. Last weekend we had our first AWD test with heavy snow at night and a deer jumped out in front of us - the AWD worked beautifully and slowed us down without skidding. The navigation, heated seats and power lift gate are all phenomenal. A little more engine power and better side and rear visibility would make this a continued best seller for Chrysler.

We just purchsed a AWD Pacifica, and we get wondeful comments from everyone we see. Some have never seen it, most have admired it, something that never happened with our Previous car a Honda Accord. Sitting in this car makes you feel like a million bucks, without spending it.

She has many good points and I would tell anyone how great she is. She does have a couple of bad points, one being the blind spots, with the small back window. She is more difficult to see out of than the Chyrsler Limited. Also, we have had trouble with the tailgate opening when we are in a parking lot, even though it is locked. We put the keys in our pocket and look back to find the tailgate open. This could be a serious problem if there were valuables in the car. The light switches are difficult to use, because it is not consistant. Maybe I should have it checked. Over all she is a great car and rides beautifully, I would give her a B plus.

  • With Correct Marketing, Its a winner! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Bought about a month ago, this is a great concept. A good vehicle for someone getting out of a minivan. Loaded to the 9s. Smooth, handles well, quiet, responsive. Would like to see a 5 speed automatic, and rear sensors. They need to market this better and show the true performance of this vehicle. This out shines most of the competition.

  • It "IS" a great vehicle! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

When I saw the pictures of the Pacifica I thought yeah, well maybe. Then it came out and I said yeah, well maybe. Then it came time to buy and my wife and I went to the dealership to drive a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. We were not impressed, then we drove the Pacifica and ended up buying one. This is a great vehicle. It could use a little more horsepower but, overall, it serves us - especially my wife as she is the main driver - very well.

Fun to drive so far. Has 3000 mi. on it with no drive problems. Could use a V8 instead of the 6 cylinder. The slapstick is fun to play with. Navigation system is helpful and the DVD player keeps the kids amused for hours. The headphones are wonderful as I would probably go postal if I had to listen to Spongebob for hours on end. Automatic liftgate is not working correctly and I will have to take it to the dealer for repair.

So far I am very pleased with my Pacifica. One problem that I am experiencing that the dealer will work on next week is the sunroof. It seems like the interior around the sunroof is going to cave in if I have the sunroof open at all. So, it is a pretty annoying thumping sound that hurts my ears and somone will have to do something about it...

  • A Vehicle That Works - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

The Pacifica is the vehicle our family needed. We had a new Audi A6 and the comfort was just not there for all of us. For me the sacrifice was in performance going from a luxury sedan with a turbo and manual transmission, but the payoff was in a wonderfully roomy feel like we were all together to enjoy the ride, not just take it. My wife says its the perfect car for her...we have plenty of room for luggage on trips now...two kids in the back and once were there two extra seats open up....we both really love it!
