This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

  • Like my Pacifica - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I have owned my Pacifica for 4 weeks and so far I have only good things to say about my car. The radio controls are a bit fussy but thats just a litle thing. The drive is solid with a good feel for the road but not stiff or rigid. It sits up a little higher than a sedan but not too high. At 5 tall being comfortable behind the wheel in very important. The adjustable pedals, seat and steering column make that a non-issue. The third row seats are not made just for children. They are roomy and comfortable for adults as well. Overall, probably the nicest car Ive owned and that includes an Acura.

Very nice car and, though expensive, a good deal can be had if you look around a little. Great to drive and lots of safety features. The blind spot people keep bringing up isnt a big problem if you set your mirrors properly.

  • Drives like a dream - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

My Pacifica drives like a Cadillac. It is a real pleasure to get behind the wheel. When I drive on the express-way, it will really fly! With the gas crunch right now, it is a little rough on the pocketbook. It doesnt get great mileage in the city. My Big complaint about the Pacifica is its limited rear vision. To me, it is a major design flaw. If I had test driven it on the freeway for any length of time, I probably would not have bought it!! It was an impulse buy because of its great looks and fabulous ride. It has the potential to be quite dangerous because it is hard to see whats coming up on your sides. The back window is too small.

After losing our beloved Grand Caravan AWD in an accident 3 days before Xmas, we scrambled to find another AWD to take advantage of the year-end rebates. We ended up with a Pacifica. Its beautiful, its luxurious, it feels very safe, but its a pig. It carries fewer people and less stuff, but is wider and heavier than the GC it replaced. It gets terrible gas mileage and has so many blind spots, backing up at night is a crap shoot. My wife refuses to drive it unless she absolutely has no other choice. Thank God its a 3 year lease.

  • Love My Pacidica - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

We purchased our Pacifica in October 2003. We fell in love with the style and spacious seating area. I have had no mechanical issues so far. We love the fact that Chrysler offers a rental car when taking it in for service. The car is excellent for the average size family and for lugging the neighborhood kids back and forth to school.

Car handles fine---gas mileage leaves a little to be desired (13 and 21) versus same engine in previous car (300M) at 17 and 24. Outside plastic discoloration needs to be addressed by factory. Back bumper easily reflects bumps (creases) and its costly to replace.

  • Chryslers best kept secret - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Weve only owned this car for a few months, but we really fell in love with it after renting one when our previous car (Toyota Sienna) was totalled by an insane old lady. This is the first Chrysler product we have ever owned and we are impressed with it thus far. If it is as reliable as we hope then we will continue to be fans of Chrysler products. Chrysler really needs to advertise this one!

  • Handles great, but a few little problems - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Handles very nicely and is a comfortable vehicle for long drives. We were even able to fit a single matress in the cabin with the seats folded down. The quad Heated seats are very nice, plus the Xeon headlights put out a great viewing area.

  • Why dont I see more on the road?! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

This car is the ultimate in proportional beauty. Ive had numerous people comment on what a pretty car this is, inside & out. The look is extremely rich, yet aggressive. A vehicle with classic lines & detail, with an interior to match. A "cult-car" for the thirty-somethings.
