Overview & Reviews
The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).
- Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
- Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

I miss my Trailblazer - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Jo - February 27 - 12:16 amI owned my Trailblazer for almost 2 years. Bought it used with 15000 miles on it. Im shocked by the negative reviews on other Trailblazers because mine was great, except for the gas mileage. It started out at 17 mpg, later was getting 14 mpg. As much as I hated to, I decided to trade it for a Hyundai Tuscan so I could get better gas mileage. When I traded, it had 35000 miles on it. Other than it being in the shop a few times right after I got it, to replace a window motor and radio (which were covered under warranty) I never had any other problems. I wish that Chevrolet had made the Trailblazer get the same gas mileage as my Tuscan. Id still be driving it

2005 Trailblazer - Good Vehicle. - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By twright - February 13 - 2:23 amDays after buying this vehicle, we took it on a long trip over 2000 miles. It handled very well and was very comfortable. We got all the toys (GPS, DVD, XM Radio, etc) and glad we did. I am disappointed that you lose the use of the CD player when using the GPS, but the XM radio was a savior here. Gas mileage on the trip was 21 highway to and from vacation and 18 MPG during the week of city & highway. In the city alone, with a lot of hills, I am getting 14 - 15 MPG. Good engine performance. Could use a little more storage space near the front seats. Overall, I feel this is an excellent SUV and believe I will be happy with it for years to come.

Im finally at peace - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By IowaBreeze - December 10 - 1:33 pmI finally got rid of my 1999 GMC Jimmy money-pit and traded up to this Trailblazer two days ago. Almost immediately I had to drive in an ice storm and was very pleased about the handling and performance. Ride is very smooth, mileage is what one should expect for an SUV. Plenty of room for cargo, love the sunroof and other features. So far, so good!

By Jeremy - September 14 - 8:59 amWhat a great make by GM. I has a proud driver of the TrailBlazer. Dont get me wrong, there are some kinks to work out. But they are all minor. Other than that this is a brilliant car. Fun to drive. Im 62" and it was hard to find a car that I was comfortable in.

2005 Trailblazer - Impressed! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Tom Sneed - February 8 - 10:00 amThe Trailblazer is a must have in a mid size SUV. The value is unbeatable. The V6 engine is best in class and really is quite impressive. It blows away the competition.

Nice SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Graten - November 3 - 12:26 pmIve had my TB for 10 months and Ive driven it in city, highway, and on 4WD trails. Ive also slept in it for a couple of nights while elk hunting. This is a good all around vehicle especially for the money. It is big enough to be fairly comfortable sleeping in the back with the seats down when you need it. The only down side is that HWY mileage at interstate speeds (75MPH) is only around 17 1/2 to 18 MPG (rated at 21 mpg) although I do have a slightly higher rear end gear so others may do better. Driving in town yields around 13-14 mpg.
