This Year's Model Updates:

The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

The trailblazer is a reliable SUV. It offers AWD, 4WD and lo. With all the snow we have had here in New England I have had the chance to test the truck. Aside from the sketchy handling around sharp corners, which I think due to the size of any SUV it would be in question. Overall it is a pleasure to drive.

After driving a Chevy Blazer for fifteen yrs GM has a hit with the Trailblazer . Gas mileage on the second tank of gas was 19.44 mpg that was with the fourwheel drive used for about 100 miles and a combo of city and hwy driving . I expect more when strictly hwy. The four wheel drive system is nice and when activated hardly notice it shifting in four wheel. I drive in Colorado and felt very good and safe on the snow and ice . Had a hard time making the wheels slip when in four wheel drive evan in ice packed corners. Down side, an air leak at door seal that is annoying, will take to dealer to fix

  • Great midsize SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

This is a great midsize SUV! Its got a look! Its got a power! I enjoy a nice smooth and quite ride. The handling is great as well as comfort. Engine is pretty quite even while passing many sports sedans! 4WD takes care of any road and weather conditions. Considering its price its probably the best bet in the midsize SUV class!

I have the 2005 LT 4x4 regular wheelbase with the amazing 4.2L 291hp six. This car is underated by many consumer magazines. This is still the most powerful 6 cylinder SUV you can get. V8 power, 6 cylinder fuel efficiency. I pulled a 5500 pound trailer last month about 400 miles, and the Trailblazer took it with ease. It can also pull my two ATVs to the camp and back through moderate off road conditions with no problem, thanks to the automatic four wheel drive. After 11,000 miles, I find that my highway mileage is around 23, city mileage is as low as 17. Seats are comfortable, and the new updated interior has better trim materials than before, but it is still a little odd looking.

  • My First American Car....a Winner! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Very nervous about purchasing my first American car, but heard very good things about this model. After 3 weeks, I am very pleased with my choice....inline 6 cyl. runs like a dream, whisper quiet, with similar gas mileage to the much less powerful V6 in my Rodeo. Interior appears simple and functional and attractive to me...exterior looks great and turns heads. Biggest sell is plenty of interior room for 62" 225 lbs. driver!

  • More than I expected - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

The Trail Blazer has turned out to be a more enjoyable vehicle than I expected. Comfort and handling have been excellent. Averaging 18.1 miles per gallon has been another unexpected pleasure. Seats are comfortable for short and long trips. Stereo is more than adequate, clear with virtually no distortion with CDs. Controls are easy to operate and somewhat intuitive. I enjoy the ride.

We only had our Trailblazer for about a month but it is one of the best SUVs we have owned (Jeep, Montero, Trooper)!!! It has a smooth ride any plenty of power to cross the passes in Colorado. It handles well in the snow

  • I love my new ride - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
    By -

I went from an xterra to my Blazer, and I love the comfortable and quiet ride. It is so smooth, you hear no outside noises! I like the bigger size, I had an older Blazer 1995 and I loved it also, but more room is great!

Very powerful engine for a V-6, sleek exterior, very roomy interior, great suspension, feels like you are riding on glass.

  • Fun New Car! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Nice smooth lines on the body. Rear kicked up to 3.73 ratio really kicks in at 2800-300 RPM. Feels like an extra gear. The ride is so smooth. Mileage is very reasonable. Locations of gauges and gadgets is nice. Instrument cluster is very nice. Full gauges-Gas, Oil, RPM, Tach, Temp, Battery. Engine feels like it always wants to go. Good feeling and response from the engine. Smooth acceleration. Rear cargo hold is easily accessible. Braking has improved too. Stopping my 1995 Blazer was like stopping a bus! I really enjoy driving this car!
