This Year's Model Updates:

The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

i think chevy finally has a winner. i didnt like price at first, but the more i drive this vehicle the more i love it. big, lots of power, it will get up and go when you need it. long trips are great. when you get there, feels like you havent been anywhere. looks very good. the inside could use some work, but it will do. i have received nothing but compliments on the vehicle from people who ride in it. i love my trailblazer!

The vehicle now seems to be OK. It took a long time to work all the bugs in the electrical system out almost every other week it was in the shop. Now I enjoy the ride and the comfort.

At first I worried about buying American due to the fact of poor reliability. Im going on 2 yrs with this truck, and it has performed perfectly. I have about 18,000 miles on it with no issues. It is great in the winter. It gets you through anything without a problem. The ride is soft, so it does wallow a little bit, but overall has a nice ride.

We have been happy with the vehicle. On the highway it is great, with a smooth and quiet ride. It is a little big to drive in the city daily. I would recommend it for long trips.

The vehicles interior is less to be desired. Cheap looking plastic. Handling around corners leaves much to be desired. On the positive side it is very dependable and quality built as well as a great exterior design.

The SUV is want a bad purchase if youre looking for a nice ride which has had no major issues. The recurring problem is if you dont turn the gas cap 2-3 Full turns after you fill the tank the engine light would come on which can be very annoying. It will shut off after about 7 start-ups. If not, you have to take it to the dealership so they can reset the darn thing. Overall, not a bad buy and with the peace of mind that their are Chevy dealers everywhere if you were to need service.

Best riding SUV we tested- solid feel and handling - avg 17mpg Just took a road trip and got 21mpg on hwy. Tows heavy trailer with 2 yards of dirt with no strain. So far no mechanical issues.

Front seats not as comfortable as should be; seem to lean in to the center with lack of support. Drives and rides great its just the fuel economy is just not what it should be. 16mph on average is not good when the mini van was about 25mph.

  • Excellent mid-size choice - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I purchased a 2005 TrailBlazer LS 4WD three months ago with 7000 miles on the odometer. No problems everything works as it should. Living and driving in Chicago, its a perfect SUV (for me) for this terrain. Excellent visibility, super-tight turning radius, and it surpresses all of those rough roads and pot holes with ease. Great power from the 4.2L inline six cylinder (almost 300hp) and experienced 17.5 mpg around the city and 21.5 on the highway. No drifting has been experienced at highway speeds. The TrailBlazer has been around for awhile and has a proven design that works well for most.

This SUV handles great and will tow heavy loads with no problem. We have taken a long trip with 7 passengers comfortably. The seats fold flat easily and the ride is great. The gas mileage is its weak point 17mpg but we knew that before we bought it.
