Overview & Reviews
The TrailBlazer gets a host of minor interior improvements this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. Among the new options are an audio system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (which replace last year's front-seat side airbags).
- Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
- Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

2005 Chevy Trailblazer LT - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Casper - April 29 - 11:50 amThe car is quite nice to drive. Very easy to use especially with the steering wheel controls. I plan on taking it for a long trip this May so that should be interesting. Pretty quick at least faster than my Mazda. Very good car for a small family.

Major Gas Hog - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By bsm2dogs - April 27 - 11:59 amI didnt care about the poor fuel mileage of this hog at the time of purchase, but boy is it bad now that fuel is $3.50 a gallon! The navigation system is also a joke. You cant use it without the disk which by the way cost $500+ and it is outdated. Want updates?, Buy a new disk at the $500+ price. In my opinion, there are much better choices out there then this vehicle - Dont waste your money on it.

Only one problem here. - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Brian - April 3 - 4:54 pmI havent owned a Chevy since the 80s and this car is my first SUV. I love everything about this car. Comfortable for me 64" with good leg and head room, excellent acceleration, quality interior, stylish exterior. Low road noise, and after 15,000 miles in 15 months no mechanical problems. I like the roominess and the cargo space. My only beef about this car is the lousy gas mileage. The rating says 15city/20hwy but I get about 14 MPG anywhere I go.

Nice, family SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By cdb - January 19 - 3:20 pmIm not much into power of the vehicle and all of that. I will say this is my 2nd TrailBlazer. The 2nd one I upgraded to the third row, DVD player, and leather seating. Very comfortable, smooth riding SUV.

I love this SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Donna Jones - December 9 - 2:36 amGreat SUV for the money compared to similar imports. Lots of get up and go, and great options (that are standard). I feel like Im driving a car and not a truck. It was a great option to purchasing another minivan, which I disliked.

Great Vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Brandon - September 27 - 4:16 pmThis is my first SUV, and now that I have my first child, I think I made a wise decision. Its a very comfortable ride. I wasnt sure what it would be like with an SUV, but the mileage isnt nearly as bad as I thought, and I have all the gadgets I could want! DVD Navigation, OnStar, Heated Seats, Sunroof....etc.

2005 Trailblazer 4wd - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By RO - September 27 - 2:19 pmBought a 2005 Trailblazer used with 20k miles on it. My wife mostly drives it. We absolutely love it. I love the Inline 6 it has plenty of power to pull my motorcycle trailer with 2 motorcycles. We have taken it on several trips and it is very comfortable. I replaced the factory stereo with an aftermarket unit as the factory radio is not the best. That would probably be my only complaint. One other complaint I suppose would be the oil filter location. I am a DIY kinda guy and do my own oil changes. The filter is a real pain to get to. Other than that I love this SUV. And the factory tires are not the best.

Poor fuel economy - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By MB - July 8 - 2:43 amWe have had our Trailblazer fro about 10 months...and basically I love it EXCEPT for the fuel econmy! It STINKS! It seems every other day I am putting gas in, and I only have a 5-7 mile commute daily. It doesnt even come close to my friends Ford Freestlye as far as fuel economy. Other than that, it is a very comfortable ride and is fun to drive.

Wind Noise! - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By T Hensley - January 17 - 8:37 pmI have always had GM products. After all the wind noise my TrailBlazer has this may be my last. People who ride in the back seat alway ask if the window is all the way up. After a while my wife and I just laugh. When I took it back to fix the wind noise I was told this is a bad feature with the 2005 models. We took it back again, and let them know we didnt pay all that money for a bad feature. It has been at the dealership for 6 weeks. They have tried many things but wind noise is still there.
