The Tahoe gets a host of new upgrades for 2003. On the inside, you'll find new tri-zone climate controls, an enhanced driver-information center and a redesigned center console and instrument panel. New options includes second-row bucket seats and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options offers buyers a Bose audio system, as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, there are dual-stage airbags, a standard front-passenger-sensing system, three-point belts for all second-row passengers and an available StabiliTrak stability control system on Tahoes with the 5300 V8. The braking system has been upgraded for what Chevrolet says is better pedal feel and performance and Tahoes sold in California are now fitted with a new catalytic converter that earns the truck ULEV certification. Deleted items on the Tahoe are minor. No longer standard are third-row floor mats, an underhood light, a 7-to-4 pin trailer brake adapter, an auxiliary door lock switch in the cargo area and a lock for the center console.

Why Ill not own another U.S. SUV - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe

Replaced fuel pump, water pump, instrument cluster, (speedometer stopped working), replaced horn, engine gasket, steering problems. For a vehicle of this age and mileage these types of problems should not occur. Ill not own another Chevy. My next vehicle will be Japanese or German. U.S. auto makers need to make a more reliable vehicle if they want to compete.

By xxxxxx - September 14 - 10:00 am13000 miles, no problems, very comfortable with lots of power. Nice ride. tows a 8,000 lb boat without any problems. 18.5 mpg is better than my last Durango, but not by much.

I have had a Ford Supercrew and a 7 series BMW within the last 2 years and could not get total satisfaction from just one vehicle. Have sold both vehicles and now have just one vehicle and it is a Z-71 Tahoe. I am now totally satisfied. A very complete vehicle!

Happy Tahoe owner - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By JJ - August 30 - 12:38 pmSince new, this vehicle has been flawless and I have every option except sunroof. I have it serviced before time with selling dealer and it is garage kept. I baby this vehicle. Last year I almost traded it for a "Caddy" but this vehicle had more options and a whole lot less expensive and gas mileage was near same. Overall, a great vehicle.

Never buy a black Tahoe - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Bmore Charlie - August 3 - 10:00 amHard to keep clean. This is a very good handling vehicle with a smooth ride on good and bad roads. It has a few rattles that were repaired. The transmission failed at 24,000 miles and had to be torn down and repaired. The dealer said it was not something that has happened with Tahoes. It was repaired quickly and a loaner car provided. Great leather seats.

By Lisa Wilson - March 9 - 10:02 amDrove a 93 Suburban for 7 years and loved it! The Tahoe is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. I believe the reviews depend on what the person drove before owning the 03 Tahoe. I only drive 20 mile to work and hate the drive everyday. It handles so squirrelly I have trouble keping it between the lines, like following a semi too close. Tires replace with Michelins trying to control this vehicle. The Michelins improved handling on rual roads but did not on the interstate. Intermediate shaft replaced at 16748 miles, crossmember replace at 35558 miles. Vibration at takeoff. Transmission slips. No ashtray in back. Cant get rid of it because its valued less than the payoff.

Tahoe - SUV for the Rockies - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Don Douglas - March 4 - 8:57 amBest vehicle I have ever owned. It is equally fitting for driving around town in Denver or taking the toughest incline in the Rockies. I love the power my wife loves the comfort. We recently drove from Denver to Houston and it was the most comfortable long trip I have ever taken in a vehicle. The only complaint is slightly squeaky brakes.
