Overview & Reviews
The supercharged Impala SS joins the lineup for 2004. Besides offering 240 horsepower, the SS features a tightened suspension to allow it to take corners with a bit more gusto. Base and LS models have redesigned bench and bucket seats, and a sport appearance package is now available on the base sedan.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension on base and LS models, low-buck interior.

Not happy - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By impala - November 30 - 6:05 pmBought car in Jan of 04 . I have owned Chevys for about 40 yrs and was allways happy with them . However the 04 was noisy from the start. The dealer said it was the tires. They went to Goodyear this year. Changing the tires helped some but road noise is still bad .Windows fog up whenever it rains. I dont think I will be buying another Chevy any time soon. Find visibilty very poor

In love with my Impalla SS - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Annette - November 16 - 2:29 pmI have owned my Chevy Impalla SS for over a year now and am in love. This car is almost everything I hoped it would be. It handles like a pro on the express way and can pass just about anything out there. The gas mileage could be better, but being supercharged, its ok with me. I would recommend this car for someone who is looking for affordable luxury with a kick. This car is also very accomidating to teens. the back seat is very roomy and the trunk has pleanty of space for travel.

By Phillip J - November 1 - 2:00 amSilver. sunroof, ONSTAR, almost every option except leather, deleted spoiler for better rear view vision. Have 3K on the odometer, pleased so far. Except for oil changes no scheduled maintenance til 100K. Shopped Grand Prix, Camry, Accord, etc. Lots of car for the money.

Impressed - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By JMartinB - September 20 - 2:00 amImpressed by this car. It doesnt have the purchase price tag of my old MB 400E, but its got a lot more size and safety features than my Audi A4. Car is subtle and understated - perfect for "Q Ship" mode. Everyone comments on how sharp the cars looks are. Because Im not as "into" the 94- 96 era car, I may be more appreciative of this automobile as a whole - not worried about FWD RWD

Not to Thrilled...But O.K. - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By JCzGal - September 14 - 2:00 amWhen wepurchased our Impala sedan one month ago, I wasnt to thrilled once the "new car" giddy wore off. I like the suspension but, I noticed theres an annoying ticking sound that comes from the motor. The Impala has a slight rough idle as well. I also noticed that on rainy days the accumulated water around the tail lights area tends to flow back into the trunk space when the trunk is lifted. I like the quietness of the interior and the makeup of the inside but, the quality of the door and dashboard material is very poor and cheap. Overall, Im happy with the Impala

Great Car - everything I need - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Ike079 - September 3 - 10:00 amThe 2004 Impala is a great overall ackage. It truly has everything I need. It is very roomy, comfortable and handles well. Its engine has a good combination of enough power and decent fuel economy. It has the utility of a 4-door, which allows me to do everything I need with it, but it also has a sporty and fun feel. I love it! I have not had a single problem with it, and really cant think of a single thing to complain about. It is much better looking, more fun to drive, and a better total package than the Camry, Accord, or any other mid-size and at a much better value!

Smooth Impala - 2004 Chevrolet Impala
By Stinnel - August 8 - 2:00 amThis Impala has been a shear delight to own and drive. It handles well, is comfortable, drives well, and looks great. I like all of the fine features that come with this car. The fog lights, the overdrive, the auto locks, trunk release, the CD, steering wheel radio controls, and other features make it a "dream" to drive.
