  • Best Crossover - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I have spent the past few months looking for a crossover. I have drove almost every make and model of vehicle I could think of. When I first saw the 2010 Equinox I was excited about the new look of this vehicle. The test drive was perfect. My new car handles better than any other I have driven. There is lots of room in both the front and back of the vehicle. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a(n) SUV or crossover it will not let you down

  • Gas Mileage Poor - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I have owned my equinox for a little over 3 months. Im a 55 year young grandma. Over the years I have had several new or slightly used vehicles, and I love this one the most, by far. I love everything about it EXCEPT for the gas mileage. I only work 3 miles from home so I realize that hurts the mileage. But, it doesnt matter if I drive local or on trips, with or without the eco button, i average 21 mpg. With my previous Ford Escape, I was getting 24-28 mpg. At first I was getting 24 mpg, which I didnt like, but was ok with. Now its down to 21 :( I just dont think they should be able to advertise the 32 mpg.

  • Equinox and Escape - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

Recently traded wifes 2008 Escape for new 2010 Equinox. We both liked and enjoyed the Escape. Good V6 mileage, decent ride, reasonably quiet and good quality for Escape. The New Equinox is however a much better over all package. Much more quiet, smoother ride, more room. My only long term concern is gas mileage for the V6 Equinox. Not as good as Escape in early driving. Long term quality is another unanswered question but it looks good early. Equinox is fun to drive, handles well and is quite comfortable in LTZ trim. V^ performs well and tranny shifts perfectly so far. Remember...this is not a Caddy or BMW, so dont expect it to be but for $35, 500 not a bad small ride at all.

  • A Lot of Bang for the Buck! - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

Ive have roughly 5k on my 2010 Equinox. After driving the Honda CRV, the Toyota RAV, The Hyundai Santa Fe, the Ford Escape and Edge and the GMC Terrain, I decided to purchase the AWD 2LT V6, Chevy Equinox. The Equinox was the best deal and the most comfortable to drive. I am overall very pleased with the Equinox. The one downfall is the MPG. I have not been able to get over 22mpg town or highway. It seems to me that the the reported MPG is not very accurate but what one would expect with a V6 AWD SUV.

  • I love my Equinox! - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I previously owned a Ford Focus. I had searched for 2 years for a larger but good on gas vehicle. I looked at the Mazda 5 and the Nissan Rouge. The Chevy was the best deal and the most comfortable. I do wish they would be a bit more honest about the MPG on the 4cyl. I drive about 50 miles one way to work and only 5 miles is city. I average 26-28mpg. Which is great, but i expected a little better. I do live in the mountains, But I travel I-81 and set cruise at about 72. On our last trip down to the beach we got 30mpg going (with eco ON) and 18 while there in traffic (with eco OFF) and 25 coming back home (eco ON). ECO causes loss of power but not enough for it to be a big deal for me.

  • More Pros than Cons - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I have about 3000 miles on my AWD, 4 cy Equinox. I love the look, design and sturdiness. Black Granite metallic paint is beautiful. Two tone leather seats equally nice to look at and touch. MPG averages about 20 with mostly in city and freeway driving. 18 inch wheels make roads bumps less severe. I enjoy the quiet ride. The steering is blah, but it is not a sports car. It is a crossover SUV. Car like, but not impressive for handling. Turning radius seems large. Door lock switch should be on doors. Cargo area will not hold golf club set straight across. Fit and finish are impressive. Seats are comfortable and body hugging in front. I would recommend this vehicle to friends. More +s.

So far this car has been so much fun to drive. I love everything about it.

  • Never thought Id buy a Chevy - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

After several weeks of intense research, I bought a 2010 Equinox. The Hyundai Tucson was nice but seemed harsher and less refined. The Ford Escape was my first choice but the more I looked, the more the Equinox won me over with its styling and features. It looks great inside and out. The seats are comfortable and fit and finish is excellent. The 4 cylinder engine growls a little when pressed but the power is always there. In ECO mode, the transmission feels like it hunts a bit but I dont find this a problem. The ride is solid and handling is precise and controlled. A pleasure to drive this car.

  • First Good GM Car - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

My wife and I finally bought a GM NOX - and I have say its a nice car. We looked at the Rav4 and Nissan Rogue and this car for its class and features was the best. So far highway miles have been about 28.3 and City is of course lower. The interior of the Cabin is quite nice and I love a lot of the features. The drive is good, although this car does NOT have the pickup of our old V6 Altima, its not bad for a car of this size. My wife and I have always bought either Japanese or German, and I can now say that GM has come a long way at least with this vehicle. We are happy.
