The Cabriolet is now available with all-wheel drive, while all A4s now come standard with a tire-pressure monitoring system, revised steering wheels and two-stage airbags. The 1.8T models have been upgraded with 16-inch aluminum wheels and now offer a six-speed manual transmission as an option.

Good Idea A4 - 2004 Audi A4
By A4FUN - January 2 - 10:00 amIve had my A4 quattro for around 2 months now and Im very happy with this car. I look foward to driving to and from work everyday. This car is just a blast to drive. The 1.8T may not have as much power as the 3.0 but beleive me the car flies when you need it to. Solid construction, great Audi sound system, sharp looking car.

Ultra Sport ! - 2004 Audi A4
By quattrojon - November 4 - 10:00 amThis is my third A4 quattro. Brilliant Black with Ebony Leather 3.0L with the new Ultra Sport Package. With the full Aero-kit and 18" RS6 wheels it looks and drives great! I have every option( except nav..I know where I am!)The fit and finish is hands down the BEST in the industry. The dealer and staff at Boardwalk Audi in Plano,Tx. are great and the service I had with my first two Audis was wonderful. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a terrific sport sedan.

4-Year Perspective - 2004 Audi A4
By rh - October 13 - 10:12 pmOverall, my 4-year experience with the A4 has been a good one. I concur with the turbo lag mentioned in other reviews on standing starts. However, at road speeds the turbo is much more responsive. I have had no mechanical issues with this vehicle that required service. The sports suspension and quattro make this car a pleasure to drive in any weather conditions. Traction in heavy snow has been fabulous. Ive heard a lot of negative stories about the Pirelli tires the 2004 model came with (defects, noise, low tread life), but I have 38,000 miles on mine, and have had no issues.

quality - 2004 Audi A4
By AEMLAJ - October 9 - 10:00 amTHE CAR IS EXTREMELY WELL DONE. The experience i have had thus far is just the incredible handling and extremely sophisticated convertible top, which gives me a sedan like db on the interior. Audi even placed carpet under the wheel well.

Good car but totally unreliable - 2004 Audi A4
By SilverA4 - October 7 - 6:48 pmI really like my 2004 A4 but it has been in the shop too many times. It had problems with the turbo charger at about 37k miles, then a leaking oil gasket at 45k, ignition coils replaced at 48k and the entire 2nd cylinder head was replaced shortly after that. Luckily this was done under warranty but Im thinking of selling it now before anything else can go wrong.

I love this car! - 2004 Audi A4
By sun goddess - September 27 - 2:00 amI thought I might get tired of this car with the expensive monthly payment but I just love it more and more. It is such a quiet, smooth ride inside, even on the highway. It is so much fun to drive. I dont mind my 25 mile commute to work. I love my heated seats. I would never buy leather seats without them. I love the 200 watt bose speaker syster. I cant say enough about this car. Ive had it for 9 months and am still in love with it. Im always staring at it. Thanks Audi!

a4-station wagon review - 2004 Audi A4
By redmaiden - September 27 - 2:00 amI had an Volvo Suv which is a great car but too much for this small girl to handle or see out of...It takes driving a big vehicle to make you miss the handling and easy maneuvering of a smaller car. This is the closest thing to driving a BMW 5 series--has a really tight feel and response with the added cache of all wheel drive! I drove the BMW 3 series, which handles well, but the interior was inferior to the Audi!

Probably the best car I have owned - 2004 Audi A4
By Bill - August 26 - 9:14 amOver the 3 and 1/2 years I have owned this car, it has been nearly flawless. One repair under warrantee to replace the catalytic converter. The 1.8 has sufficient power and delivers excellent gas mileage for an AWD vehicle. The AWD really delivers in heavy rain and is adequate in snow providing you drive sanely.

Drop the 3 and the C, go for an A! - 2004 Audi A4
By Gato - August 19 - 9:06 pmI bought my A4 Ultrasport used with about 36000 miles, and since June Ive added another 2500. I drive all over the the Southeast and I love it, good gas mileage balanced with good performance. I do agree though it lacks in low end torque, nothing a light ecu upgrade cant solve. I want to design cars, so Im pretty critical when it comes to automobiles. After driving a E320 for a while, I joined the Audi revolution. In my search, I drove 3 series models, IS 300, C320/230 K, and the T5 Volvo S40. In the end I found the Audi was the best. Cheaper upkeep than the other Germans, and better build quality than Volvo and Lexus. Join The AUDI revolution!
