The big news is the arrival of the A4 Cabriolet, a fetching drop-top version of the A4 sedan. Initially, the company will offer only one drivetrain choice -- front-wheel drive with the 3.0-liter V6 engine and continuously variable transmission. Expect to see a 1.8T version midway through the model year and a 3.0 quattro Cab by October 2003. No word yet on the possibility of a manual transmission. As if this weren't enough, Audi plans to release a coupe version of the A4 in early 2003. The rest of the A4 lineup benefits from equipment upgrades. Leather is now optional on all 1.8T models, as are 12-way power front seats. All 3.0s will come swathed in leather, with more deluxe leather optional. Previous stand-alone options for the 3.0, including xenons and satellite steering wheel controls, have been swept up into the Premium Package. A new cold weather package includes seat heaters and a ski sack, and 17-inch all-season tires are a stand-alone extra.

  This is my 2nd Audi A4 and its better than ever. They improved the torque ratio for better acceleration. The body style and increased interior room is great. Audi has the best 4-wheel drive system of any sedan. Great sound system and creature comforts. The 17" wheels/tires are a must.

  Beautiful shape and ideas. Also, beautiful build quality. Engine is very responsive, steering very accurate and great brakes. Seats very supportive and multitude adjustments make for comfortable driving position.Handling, with regular suspension a little too bouncy.

  For value and performance, no other car compares. It is a complete joy to drive (when everything is working), comes well- equipped with all the latest safety features standard. If only it was as reliable as a TOYOTA... Ive been to the dealership a dozen times (mostly for turnsignal failures) and now the car stalls about once a month and this car is barely a year old! From reading consumer reviews I was aware of the reliability issues but hoped the all-new design would be better. Traded in an Infinity G20t to sacrifice reliability for performance. This is probably the first and last time Im buying an Audi.

  I recently test drove this car. Overall its a solid car, very well built and attractive. Its very smooth and has good power, very comfortable driver. Unfortunately it left me wanting in terms of performance. While power was good, handling was not. It just didnt feel like a drivers car, lost its composure too easily under hard turns. I also wasnt too fond of the interior, there are too many buttons all over the place making it look busy, and the rest of the interior is just rather plain. Its a good comfortable car, but not a drivers car.

  The vehicle has been brought for servicing four times to date ranging from minor problems to major problems. Life Quality Audi gave the worst service, which convinced me never to purchase another Audi again. Service consisted of unfulfilled promises.

  Had the car for about 6 mos. now and have no real complaints. Just about everything is perfectly engineered in this car.
