Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Nissan Armada SUV now has dual-zone automatic climate control and a 60/40-split fold-flat third-row seat as standard equipment. Nissan has also added upgraded side mirrors to the LE trim and a standard tow package to the SE Off-Road. Finally, satellite radio is a new option this year.
- Spacious interior, powerful V8 engine, lots of storage areas up front, fold-flat 60/40 third-row seat, comfortable ride quality around town, solid tow rating.
- Leather seats not as comfortable as their cloth counterparts, dismal fuel mileage, cumbersome to park.

Finally Got My Wife in a Full-Size SUV - 2006 Nissan Armada
By zluver - December 14 - 6:33 pmWife had always been opposed to full- size SUVs until we test drove an Armada while getting our 350-Z serviced. A week later, we were driving in a red brawn SE w/ the tow and DVD packages. Invoice - $3K + TTL. Were sold on Nissan ride quality.

Very pleased! - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Northern Cal buyer - December 2 - 4:50 pmAny review from a buyer that states "Bad on Fuel" is suspect. If you actually purchase a vehicle like this, and then are shocked by the fuel economy AFTER the purchase, you probably deserve everything you get. Poor fuel economy aside (and which of the SUVs in this class dont have poor fuel economy?), this is a great SUV. Distinctive styling that sets it apart. Powerful engine. Sharp interior. Comfortable 3rd row seats that can actually be used for more than just an emergency. Tons of storage. Get this vehicle loaded with the technology package and you wont regret it. Im very satisfied.

Love this suv - 2006 Nissan Armada
By rebecca - October 18 - 9:53 amLove this suv. Love the rear camera which has saved me. We have had no problems. I like that the lift gate in the back can open automatically which helps a lot with new baby and groceries. Love the fact that the 3rd row seats fold down flat. There is so much room. Love the gear shift in the middle instead of on the steering wheel. Feel the my family is very safe with the curtain side airbags. Love the stereo/6dsic cd changer. It drives well and has great pick up. Its a bit of a bumpy ride on these pot holed roads we have, but I didnt buy a luxury car! I wish big SUVs got better gas mileage but it is the price I have to pay for more room inside!

Traded Chevy Suburban, in a heart beat! - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Linda - September 14 - 8:26 amFantastic full size SUV, built right here in the good ole USA! Superior safety features, all standard! Fit, finish & quality of materials are very pleasing. Reputation & reliability are outstanding. Easy to use features, placement of instruments & accesories are well thought out & informative. Find myself in this auto more often than my BMW 7 series! Highly recommend!

the best vehicle I - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Jeff taff - June 16 - 4:43 pmThis is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It has more space than friends with those other name brans suvs. Comfort is something I look for and it has it by far. For as big as this is the fuel mileage is pretty good.

Excellent and Stylish Vehicle - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Anthony - June 2 - 7:10 pmI was in the market to buy a full-size SUV. I narrowed my choices down to an Expedition XLT or an Armada SE. You will not go wrong with the Armada. 1st I love the room inside in the 2nd and 3rd rows. Nothing else compares. Instrument panel is a lot more exciting than the Expedition. The base model SE came with alot more stuff that was extra on the Expedition XLT. I love the Red Brawn color. It is an eye catcher. GAS mileage is poor especially with prices around $3.00 in FL. Very powerful SUV. Drives like a truck but it can fly. The Expedition did handle more like a car. This was a great buy and I would recommend it as long as you dont mind going to the pump twice a week.

36000 mile ownership experience - 2006 Nissan Armada
By rmf - May 7 - 7:20 amInterior room is excellent. Engine handles all loads, tows boat like its not even there. Great comfort for trips. Design/functionality issues - seat belt retraction system barely works, constantly asking passengers to make sure belts/buckles are not slammed in doors. Steering wheel controls need lighting. Seat belt latch, front seats are way down between seat and console under armrests, difficult to buckle. Stereo is poor for a $38k vehicle! Quality issues - hatch window leaking, replaced. Power mirrors stopped working, replaced twice. Front seat came unstitched 6k mi., replaced. Front windows rattle, could not solve! Exhaust replaced 35k, rotted out. Air leaks front windows, new gaskets.

15,000 Miles in 6 months - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Joe Hill - April 12 - 3:40 pmI love ny Armada. I was first hesitant about buying the Armada when I read your reviews about the brakes on the 2004 model. Most dealers I talked to indicated that the brake problem had been solved. After reading the negative reviews from 2004 I noticed that Nissan was buying back Armadas from unsatisfied customers. This is what relaxed my fears and pushed me to get the product I really wanted. I have driven the SUV from my home in Navarre Florida to Delware, Texas, and Orlando. I have experienced no problems. I did not even notice brake dust build up on those long trips. The gas milage was not a suprise, but I have been geting close to 18 MPH on the interstate.

Best SUV for the Money... By Far - 2006 Nissan Armada
By Steve - February 28 - 2:33 pmI test drove the Tahoe, Expedition, Sequoia, and of course the Armada. The Armada beat them all. The Tahoe and Expedition had decent power, but both felt like a big truck. The Sequoia felt like a luxury car, but lacked power and lacked all the "extras" that come with SUVs these days (i.e., fold flat seats). The Armada felt like a powerful sports car that, oh by the way, could also haul 8 people with extreme comfort. I am satisfied with my choice.
