Overview & Reviews
The 2006 Nissan 350Z sports car receives a host of minor changes. Mechanical updates include an increase in horsepower, to 300, for all manual-transmission-equipped cars, larger brake rotors for cars without the Brembo brake package and a new vehicle speed-sensitive steering rack. For the exterior, the Z sports a revised front bumper and new headlight and taillight designs. Eighteen-inch wheels and HID headlights are now standard on all models. Changes inside include new cloth seat material, revised climate controls and a new navigation system. Finally, Nissan has made some adjustments to the Z's trim levels. A Grand Touring trim level is now available for the coupe body style; it features the Touring trim's equipment plus Brembo brakes, spoilers and stability control. Additionally, the Track and Grand Touring trims get new RAYS super lightweight forged-alloy wheels that measure 18 inches in front and 19 out back.
- Strong and willing V6 engine, precision handling, powerful brakes, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
- Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

Super Black - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By Betty Eddings Winley - November 5 - 4:06 amI enjoy my ride experience with the 350Z. I love the convertible style and also observed that it is an eye- catcher...almost a magnet chemistry from the watchers! I contacted the eastern district corporate office and suggested to them to improve the brake system to avoid brake dust accumulation on the attractive wheels.

It really makes driving fun again - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By greg fennell - October 24 - 1:26 pmI previously owned a 2004 Nissan Maxima, which I thought was a pretty competitive performer on the road, but the 350Z is in a whole other league. It even makes routine trips to the store and commuting to work fun.

Finally a True Sports Car - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By Hawkinson Nissan - September 27 - 12:26 pmI have driven some of the more popular sports cars (RX-8, S2000, Eclipse, Supra, etc) but none have the passion that the new Z has. Awesome acceleration, and all to the tune of that harmonious exhaust note. The only other rival I considered buying of course is the BMW M3. However, i couldnt justify the price difference as compared with the differenece in HP (30)

Z has a rumble of its own - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By dinola - August 8 - 6:43 amWhat a car. The car turns heads. The convertible top is well hidden when down. The rumble of this car is very distinct. Its a fun car to drive and its styling is all its own. The 2006 model has improved the suspension and the interior. Because of its low profile you need to be careful on roads with potholes.

Dream Come True - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By Steve - June 24 - 6:30 pmIn a word, fun. The "Z" is all sport car and doesnt make any apologies. It is quick, has high handling limits and a great exhaust note. It rides firm not harsh, stiff frame, very positive steering and easily modulated brakes. The power available does require a bit of discipline but you can get to the limits very quickly. If you are looking for a plush touring car you had best look somewhere else as this car demands your attention, but rewards your attention with great performance, fun. I always look forward to getting in and going. Want a ride?

One fine convertible - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By walywrld - June 7 - 5:30 amI did a lot of research before buying this car and it paid off. This is one outstanding car which I am completely satisfied with. It is more enjoyable than I expected. The power is awesome, it drives great, is great for weekend road trips, the steering is dead on, exceptional driving experience. I find it quiet for a convertible, quieter cruising at highway speeds than its competitors. I find the seats comfortable and supportive, it is cozy but it is a 2 seat sports car, what does one expect? I have taken several long trips in the car and find it comfortable on the road. I can drive all day and am not tired and "beaten". Overall, the Z is well laid out and comfortable.

Hot Tamale - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By R.E.T. - April 20 - 5:56 amTest drove every Roadster under $60K before buying; narrowed field to Boxster, Z4, 350Z. Though Ive always driven German, found myself returning again & again to the Nissan. Quicker (no turbo lag!) & more powerful than my 04 250HP Audi TT Roadster, handles/corners better, too. However, TT had better quality materials (interior dash & console, exterior paint, etc.). TTs (Bose) sound system far superior to 350Zs (also Bose). Z system surprisingly tinny & weak. 350Z top drops & stows quickly and effortlessly -- action is smooth as silk. Looks, performance, power, price, fun-factor combined; 350Z cant be beat. Seriously fun to drive & a real head-turner (especially in red!)

Art on wheels. - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By David Puckett - February 28 - 8:33 pmSince I have got this car I have had so many positive comments from co-worker and strangers of all ages. I have seen persons after persons driving by just stop to look at it at work/stores/home. Some coming up to me to ask what type of car it is and telling me how good it looks. This car is just amazing as it is a sports car with luxery features. The navigation is amazing, the sound of the car taking off draws attention from all while still quiet for long drives. Putting the top up and down is fast and a show for all how it hides and returns from a hidden trunk. some talk about the trunk space being small, but you can use the top compartment for trunk space also. To sum it up(art on wheels).

Oil Burner - 2006 Nissan 350Z
By Ryan - February 9 - 4:06 pmIf youre a real enthusiast and bought a manual, youre probably wondering why your new car is burning oil. Dont ask nissan because they do not know either. The seats are uncomfortable and the transmission makes a lot of rattling noises. I have owned many Nissans and so wanted this, my Z, but this car has left an awful impression on me and would not buy another Z.
