  Major problem for me with the GVWR recall which cost me big bucks. I wouldnÂ’t put much stock in Lexus claims of customer satisfaction or service if the problem is substantial. Even a small item took a trip to the dealership to resolve. Voice recognition is poor. Basic air and sound controls is cumbersome. Navigation system is easy to use, with very intuitive programming. The premium sound system if excellent. Limited storage for small items. Dealer service failed to reset the service notice button. During a trip an emergency notice come on saying we needed repair service, and should contact the dealer immediately. That was a bit troubling, until

  I previously had a Navigator and a 2003 Range Rover. After major expensive problems with the RR, I wanted a SUV that was reliable and with the same luxury as the RR. I decided on the GX470 because I am previously a Lexus owner. So I know the quality and the performance of the Lexus. Its not as big as the full size SUV but it is not as small either. It was perfect for what I was looking for.

  Simply luxurious all around. Solid as a tank. A true pleasure to drive. We cannot believe how smooth the ride is. Handled Canadian snow blizzard with ease. Its difficult to imagine a better overall package.

  Our fully loaded GX was delivered and we Loved it. However we learned of a few flaws that were not traditionally Lexus.( See Improvements) NOISE & VIBRATION at 50+ mph and Fan Clutch noise. I suspect the next year model to address these issues. Problem is NOBODY WILL WANT MY USED GX then. Quite Unhappy

  The lexus GX 470 drives like a dream. It has all the features that you would want with an SUV at the same time feels like a car. Excellent Mark Levinson system. We love the SUV, it fits our family needs. Its a very fun vehicle and we enjoy it very much.

  We drove all the SUVs out there... the only "close" call was the BMW X5, great car, not practical with two kids and golden retriever! We drive Porsches and BMWs as primary vehicles which have a tight concise ride. The Lexus has it too. We bought the base model and had the DVD installed in the head rest via after market... a better way to go. We traded in a Land Cruiser which served us well for 100k miles... we like the Lexus a lot more.

  This is my second Lexus SUV. Reliable. Purchased used with higher mileage. Have had no repair issues just basic maintenance like oil changes. My SUV is now 11 years old but looks new and rides like new. We get compliments frequently. Stylish and luxury at is best. Planning to buy my third Lexus SUV soon.
