Overview & Reviews
The 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe features improved interior materials, including padded door armrests, softer leather for the leather-wrapped steering wheel and more chrome accents for the instrument panel. There's also a new trim level, the Genesis 3.8 R-Spec, which has the reduced feature content of the 2.0T R-Spec trim but with the 3.8-liter V6 engine.

2nd Hyundai and LOVING IT! - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By makemoves - September 1 - 4:44 pmPrior to this car, I was driving a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon Base. Like everyone out there, I was not sure if I wanted to buy a second Hyundai, but, once I drove this car, WOW, thats all I can say. The interior and build quality has improved by atleast 10 folds, from 2004 model and the soft touch is just perfect. The 2.0T, is fast enough to compete with the likes of IS250s, 328i, GTI, and many other high end imports out there. Dont be fooled by the name, Hyundai, has truly made a sport car that everyone can own and drive without, paying premium. If you are looking for a fun car to drive, this is perfect for you!

Great first car. - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By mrgovenator - July 31 - 4:58 amThis is a great first purchase. On the used market it hard to beat the value of these cars. You get so much for so little. You get a well laid out interior. Some material quality is questionable, such as the some cheap leather, but most the plastics are soft touch or have a rubber coating. And the exterior is gorgeous in my opinion. You get a great power plant under the hood, that gives other cars of this price a run for the money. Only real issue is the 6 speed transmission, it feels cheap and clunky. Can you live with it daily though? For me, yes. The total value out weighs this one problem. The seats hold you in place very well, and feel nice for the price point.

Outstanding Choice - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By pokey411 - March 5 - 12:51 pmMy choice was between this coupe or the VW cc and after driving the 3.6 and the 2.0 RSpec I landed on the 2.0 Premium. Very tight ride and smooth to the road, the interior is simple but very well designed and elegant. Comfort and noise level was important to me because of the amount of time I spend in my car, this does not disappoint, even on the 2.0. I believe the cloth seats are more comfortable than the leather. Acceleration is phenomenal, a tough choice between the 2.0 and 3.6 but a few dealers did say they liked the 2.0. Overall, you cannot go wrong with this car based on far to many factors

Not to be expected of Hyundai - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By pcseely - January 16 - 3:36 pmFantastic car to drive. I have had a few longer road trips and the car feels the road like you would expect from a european model of $20K more. I am a tall man 63" and sitting in the drivers seat feels extremely comfortable and has great visability. I fell in love with the look from the 2009 model and have received numerous compliments from people. Each one has been shocked this was a Hyundai. The car has aggressive lines and the two-tone interior really adds the extra sportiness to the black exterior. Very happy about my decision.

surprising coupe - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By zimboy - September 6 - 10:48 amThe eye-catching rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe surprised from the moment i started it. Nice sport sound and then very responsive motor and torque. Great visibility excellent grip and just-firm-enough suspension make it a delight to drive. The 2.0T wont throw you back in your seat but performance is enough to have legal fun and yet be a practical day-to-day car. I test drove the 3.8 V6 and found it to be a bit wild and hard on the road. But if you want more power it is great.

I cant stop looking at it - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By reggie - November 29 - 2:00 amI had it for exactly a month and a half. It is great! For the money, I couldve gotten a used BMW, G35, 350Z, etc., but I wanted a new car. Although I have the 2.0T model which isnt the fastest, I can still have some fun. The interior is extremely driver friendly in my opinion. Since not too many people are aware of this model, I get so much attention/comments when I get on or off the car.

Fabulous Car - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By rphello101 - February 8 - 4:56 pmIve had my car for almost 2 years now and I love it. Ride is acceptable. Handling is very good. Power is phenomenal. Absolutely no issues with it. Build quality is quite good. Sat nav is next to useless - maps are outdated. iPod and Bluetooth connectivity are fantastic - interface lacks a bit. Infinity sound system is fantastic. Maintenance is cheap. I have two formal complaints: the traction control is absolutely horrible. It allows for 0 tire slip - very safe, but not fun. It will practically put your head thru the windshield when it kicks on. Take it off and youll end up backwards. Secondly, the exhaust sounds like it came off the Elantra. Im in a big V6 sports car - sound like it!

Better than my TL! - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By Kenswift - July 1 - 10:00 amWOW! Just picked up a new 2011 3.8 GT! This car is simply awesome. It drives better than my Acura TL that I just sold. It is so much fun to drive, it looks so sweet, and is quick as hell. The quality of this car is tremendous. Do not HESITATE to get this car if you are interested in it!

Stay away from the 2.0T - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By nwillingham - January 31 - 10:59 amhave the 2.0T premium coupe. Ive had it for almost 5 months. Beautiful car, fast car, love the navigation (hate the ipod interface), comfy car in the front seats, BUT The sticker of 20/30 mpg is a complete lie. You would have to be going downhill all the time to come close to either of those numbers. When I drive like a grandpa I MIGHT get 16.5mpg in town and 24mpg on the highway. The 5 speed doesnt seem sufficient. ALSO, the T in 2.0T is for Turbo and Turbos use supreme gas only. Personally with the trash gas mileage, slow to shift paddle shifters, crap iPod interface, and supreme gas, I hate that I bought this car and wish I had gone with another.

Best Bang for the Buck - 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
By merft - November 27 - 3:47 pmIve been watching the GC for a couple years and waited to see first year impressions. After test driving the equivalent Camaro and Mustang, by price, what sold me was the handling of the Genesis. Going fast is nice but where other than the track can you do it legally? However, get the Genesis on some curvy mountain roads and the competitors pale in comparison. I am in love with this car and have no regrets or complaints.
