Engine Oil Failure - 2001 Volkswagen Eurovan
By 2001 Eurovan - March 21 - 11:40 pmThe oil housings on these vans are made of plastic and are broken easily during oil changes. We lost all the oil and it ruined our engine. Each time we get oil changes we have to ensure the housing is not cracked. We asked Volkswagen to recall these vans but they refused. We absolutely hate the van because of this issue!

10 year review - 2002 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Plova - March 18 - 12:33 pmI have had this car for 10.5 years since new and still enjoy driving it. Just coming up to 70K so low mileage. I do almost all the work on my car so the maintenance is not bad. Repairs that have been needed to date are: coolant temp. sensor $30.00, MAF sensor ($190) and now just need to replace the O2 sensor ($76.00). New front end bushings need so installed new front control arms and tie rod assembly with alignment ($1,000). Replaced original brakes at 32k(front) and 34K (rear) and now have about 10K left on 2nd set so have drilled Zimmermann brakes and EBC pads to go on. Tune up easy to do. Most important service is to change transmission fluid per service manual

Van - 2002 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Drom - December 23 - 10:00 amThis is an exceptional van. I have the weekend package on it, which is a must if you get the van. Take the kids fishing and camping on the weekend. Go to the beach and take 6 kids with you with lots of room.

2003 Eurovan Review - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Keono - November 3 - 7:40 pmDriving this van is like riding on a cloud. Smooth transmission with power to pass as needed. INterior is deceivingly huge (you can easily carry ten 4x8 pieces of drywall in the back!). Seats could be bigger, and if you are over 6 tall, the sun visor limits your sight distance a bit. Rear facing 2nd row limits the recline of the front seats, but makes cargo space a snap.

2001 Volkswagen EuroVan - 2001 Volkswagen Eurovan
By euronut - October 23 - 9:33 pmMy 2001 Volkswagen EuroVan is a performer and fun to drive. We tow a boat with it and take long road trips. For traveling, you cant beat it. The reliability is poor and the repair costs are higher than most cars with the standard brake job costing $800. You should factor a 30% increase on repairs for Eurovan over a Golf or a Jetta. They are hard to work on and parts are scarce.

Love It! - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Hossman - July 13 - 6:20 pmJust getting into our 2003 Eurovan. It was a VW executive use here in Canada. It only has 12,000 km on it so time will tell. First impressions are, there isnt a vehicle on the market here in Canada that even comes close to this in build quality. Superb!

Eurovan Weekender - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By borellsoffun - May 31 - 10:00 amAlthough it doesnt have some of the convenience items the others have, I am very happy with it. It is a very functional vehicle, the gas mileage is better than I expected and the kids love it. It has a drum-tight quality feel to it. Ive gotten many inquisitive/positive comments strangers. It is a very unique vehicle that Im excited to own.

Love it - 2001 Volkswagen Eurovan
By Joyce - April 25 - 6:26 pmWe have had Volks vans since the green "bus" and hate/loved each one. The best one was the early vanagon with all that room in back and front, great interior coverings, etc....but the wind roll on the highway was bothersome. Our Euro is excellent to drive, sits above the crowd, no roll, a bit noisy, holds lots of people. Interior too fuzzy. Less width was not good. If only there were people out there that know how to service it. Looking for something more gas economical (we get 19 mpg)and a vehicle that fits tall people. Hate to give up on our Euro and its camp capabilities, etc. Dont like the backward facing middle seats and the cutback on leg room in the back.
