Woulnt buy again - 2002 Volkswagen Eurovan
By skw - July 31 - 10:00 amproblems with paint chipping. The dealer said it was from rocks. I have had the problems since before 5,000 miles. Always garaged just went over the 24,000 mark this weekend. Rear facing seats must be positioned straight up in order for the front seats to be comfortable. Brakes replaced at 20,500 miles - our Dodge Caravan has 49,000 miles and has never had the brakes replaced (not the norm, but indicative of our driving habits) or the paint damage the Eurovan has. Vehicle surges when driving. Van has been maintained by VW dealer per manufacturers recommendations. Dealers not much help. Wrote to VW customer when van was new - no response.

Eurovan is fabulous for family of 5 - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By WAeurovanowner - July 17 - 2:00 amI can not imagine why VW does not sell more Eurovans. As configured with the 201 hp VR6 and the lower price it is less expensive and more usefully equiped than any true minivans. At the same time it is big enough to handle every need without having to endure a Econline-type full size van. As a 40 year old father of three I have to admit I get a kick out of the fact that the young VW crowd thinks my family hauler is cool. Ive received accepting nods and other positive gestures from 20 year olds driving Golfs and Passats. Not too many minivans owners can claim they get positive gestures from these younger drivers.

Love my MV! - 2002 Volkswagen Eurovan
By CharlieD - May 13 - 2:03 pmWow! I dont understand why more of these sold? I love my Eurovan MV - Comfy, usable space, easy to drive and the fit and finish is great. About the only thing I think I miss is rear AC, my kids have to wait a while to get cool on hot days. I plan on driving this car for a long time and Im completely satisfied with its overall performance and ride. I cant find any safety data about the Eurovan, but I found a danish site that rated cars by accident per million miles and fatalities etc, and the VW van was rated excellent - for all years including the newer faster types like mine.

Useful space but very poor AC - 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan
By phil - April 14 - 12:40 pmVery spacious inside with a nice feel to it and useful extras such as step lights for safety. However the whole vehicle is sadly spoilt by the awful AC which is totally unable to deal with the climate in the Middle East. Have 2 of these vehicles and we cant use them for 3 months of the year as its so uncomfortable in the heat. I dont know why VW sell it in hot climates when the AC cannot cope - didnt they uprate it for this market?
