This Year's Model Updates:

The V6 engine is now available only with the top-level equipment trim, the pricey VR6 4Motion Executive trim (the VR6 Sport model has been eliminated). Other than this, features have simply been shuffled between trim levels.

Pros:
  • Fuel-efficient turbo four-cylinder
  • Well-equipped, stylish interior
  • All-wheel drive on VR6 model.
Cons:
  • Only four seats
  • Smallish trunk.
  • Limited rear-seat headroom

  • Worth it... - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Ive owned this car for 4 months now and still find it fun to drive... For a 4-banger, it sure drives like a 6. VW sure has a winner in the CC. Biggest problems... Being a heavy set 6th guy, its a pain to get in/out of car. Other than that, its worth it. Im looking forward to taking it for a long trip to gage its comfort for long distance driving. Havent had it for too long, so reliability at this point is kinda moot.

  • Junk the DSG - 2011 Volkswagen CC

I have had my CC Sport since December of 2010 and have yet to figure out what the DSG transmission is trying to do. This transmission spoils the otherwise teriffic car. I find that the transmission seems to not find the gear it is looking for and has actually caused the car to fall flat on its face when pulling out. The turbo lag and this transmission are not ment for each other. Had it back to the dealer and they say everthing is all right. get the manual and it will be a real joy to own.

  • Hate the transmission - 2011 Volkswagen CC

Good value but transmission is all wrong. Shift points in drive mode vs. sport mode are too extreme - drive mode shifts very low (~2200rpm) and in sport mode pretty high (~4500rpm). The transmission disengages when at a complete stop and there is a lag for it to re-engage. Also, when starting from a complete stop with the steering wheel turned it becomes very jerky - as if it is in sport mode.

  • Sound car but...... - 2011 Volkswagen CC

Gave it high marks. Positives: Solid gas mileage. Light. Sporty and fun to drive. Nice interior. Excellent value. Cons: 4 seater w/limited head room. Engine lags when stepping on gas Needs more power. Gas and brake pedal are to close to each other. Very limited 3 year maintenance plan. Lots of plastic in engine compartment.

  • Great car - 2011 Volkswagen CC

I purchased a 2011 V6 4 motion 2 weeks ago after trading in my 2008 Audi TT coupe. I initially considered: BMW 328i sedan, 335i sedan, 335d sedan, Mercedes c300. Almost purchased the BMW 335, but was told by a service manager that reliability wasnt great and frankly the interior was poor considering the price. The Volkswagen is a great compromise between a sporty car and a great interior if thats what you are looking for. I chose the V-4 4 motion mostly because of the extra HP, AWD, and the alternate 6sp transmission compared to the 4cyl with DSG. My Audi had the same 200 HP/DSG, and i HATED that trans. It was great for MPG, but what a jerky ride and mechanical problems. I love the VW >Audi
