This Year's Model Updates:

The V6 engine is now available only with the top-level equipment trim, the pricey VR6 4Motion Executive trim (the VR6 Sport model has been eliminated). Other than this, features have simply been shuffled between trim levels.

Pros:
  • Fuel-efficient turbo four-cylinder
  • Well-equipped, stylish interior
  • All-wheel drive on VR6 model.
Cons:
  • Only four seats
  • Smallish trunk.
  • Limited rear-seat headroom

  • Cant stop staring at it - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

We recently bought a used 2009 CC VR6. Our main goal was to find a sedan that had comfortable seats, good fuel economy, and excellent reliability. I also wanted to find a car that was not so common that it would be on every street corner. We got that and more! The design team for this car deserves an honor equivalent to the nobel peace prize - I cant stop staring at it. The exterior of the car has lines Ive never seen before even on cars five times the price. The interior is laid out so simply it is genius. Coming from a RX330 it was an adjustment dipping down to get in but once inside the room is more than adequate even with only four seats and it is a blast to drive!

  • Awesome - 2011 Volkswagen CC

This is an awesome car to drive. I have previously owned a saab sports, bmw 535, bmw 330 and this cc lux out classes them in all categories to include handling, ride comfort, audio controls, navigation, mpg (26-33). Well designed exterior and interior. Ergonomically friendly. My only issue has been entry and exit since I am a senior citizen and need to bend a little extra. Well worth the extra effort. I thoroughly enjoy some of the subtle features ie mute, media, usb, touchscreen, navigation, sensor wipers, storage, etc. A great car and have been driving it for over 5 months.

  • Exceeds Expectations - 2011 Volkswagen CC

Wanting more for less is my new criteria in any purchase. My wife and I have driven BMWs for years. Coming from a 3 Series to the 2011 VW CC Luxury Plus is a comfort upgrade and we saved thousands of dollars. Standard NAV, rear camera, SAT radio, 30GB hard drive to store music are all items that would have made many cars very expensive. They are standard on the VW CC Lux Plus. If you want honest German engineering and quality in a car packed with features this is it.

  • Junk the DSG - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

I have had my CC Sport since December of 2010 and have yet to figure out what the DSG transmission is trying to do. This transmission spoils the otherwise teriffic car. I find that the transmission seems to not find the gear it is looking for and has actually caused the car to fall flat on its face when pulling out. The turbo lag and this transmission are not ment for each other. Had it back to the dealer and they say everthing is all right. get the manual and it will be a real joy to own.

  • LEMON!!! STAY AWAY! - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

I have owned the car since November of 2010. My 2011 CC Lux Plus is a lemon, plain and simple! I did a years worth of research on this car and was confident in my decision. All the experts, consumers and the magazines said it was a great car. The day I drove it off the lot was the BIGGEST mistake of my life. The electronics never worked from the start. Bluetooth does not work with my iPhone, nav system thinks Im in Florida when I live in New York, transmission lurches the car backwards and forwards so much so that I cant parallel park it. Nav system and Bluetooth modules have each been replaced twice, they are JUNK. Car has been in for service 5 times and VW customer service is horrible

  • Hate the transmission - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Good value but transmission is all wrong. Shift points in drive mode vs. sport mode are too extreme - drive mode shifts very low (~2200rpm) and in sport mode pretty high (~4500rpm). The transmission disengages when at a complete stop and there is a lag for it to re-engage. Also, when starting from a complete stop with the steering wheel turned it becomes very jerky - as if it is in sport mode.

  • outstanding vehicle - 2011 Volkswagen CC

have not had a VW since the carman gia and bettle and squareback, stuck with hondas for many years and they are as good as they get, but the looks are falling, still have a civic, but moved from a honda ridgeline, 07 to this VW CC as it looks sexy, drives excellent, and VW has started to get the reliability right.

  • Fun - but Expensive to maintain - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Had the car for 4 years, and have about 80K miles on it. Its a pleasure to drive - when everything is working correctly - and thats the issue. Ive had to replace the steering column lock, have the heads cleaned, and several other lesser items - but these are things that should not crop up until the car has well over 100K miles. So.. Its expensive to maintain. Ive also learned that its fragile. I put it into a snow bank at the bottom of the driveway - going about 8 miles/hour. the damages are in excess of $4K. To me that means its fragile. Ive enjoyed driving it, but am about to replace it in order to obtain a more cost-effective vehicle.

  • Sound car but...... - 2011 Volkswagen CC
    By -

Gave it high marks. Positives: Solid gas mileage. Light. Sporty and fun to drive. Nice interior. Excellent value. Cons: 4 seater w/limited head room. Engine lags when stepping on gas Needs more power. Gas and brake pedal are to close to each other. Very limited 3 year maintenance plan. Lots of plastic in engine compartment.

  • An athlete in an Armani - 2011 Volkswagen CC

Im kind of a nerd when it comes to comparing the cars I am looking at. Took my time, did the comparisons, and chose the CC. SO GLAD I DID! Absolutely love this car. Total head-turner at lights. Comfort, and sporty. Has looks that let people take you seriously yet doesnt look like I own stock in Ben-Gay. Every aspect of this car is fantastic.
