120K miles and still purring like a kitten - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By cinderella123 - March 26 - 7:17 pmIm the 3rd owner of my 06 4cyl 4WD, base model RAV, which had a 110K miles on her when purchased from a private seller. She was well cared for by her previous owners, with the replacement of the rear window wiper motor as the biggest issue. Since owning her, Ive maintained her well and she purrs like a kitten & runs like a race horse. Ive read a lot of negatives reviews here, but neither I nor the previous owners (judging from car reports and Toyota service records) have encountered any of it. I couldnt be happier with the continued solid & reliable performance of my Made in Japan RAV4, and look forward to years with her. Its all in the personal care and maintenance you give them.

Rav4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Debi - March 18 - 3:16 pmI just love my new Rav4. It is so fun to drive. The get up and go is great. I can get to 80 real fast. It is a smooth ride and I think it is so cute. There is plenty of leg room in the front and back seat. It really has more room than my Nissan Quest did as far as leg room. I know Toyota is a good product because this is the fifth one I have had.

Mixed Opinions - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Lee - March 16 - 9:23 amIve read reviews on the fuel economy, but happy to say so far consistently 23.5 mpg in local driving. But dont see a huge increase in mostly highway. Perhaps in 25-26 range, but not 29. Also, have complaint now with Toyota on occasional severe hesitation when accelerating from stop or nearly stopped situation. They mentioned it could be new Electronic Throttle Control whatever that is. Mostly positive other than that. Fun to drive with size, comfort, feel, ride etc. Hate tire on back, but oh well. New 2007 CRV losing its tire on door, which should have been a must for Toyota. Jury still out though overall if i made the right choice. First Toyota, so hoping it lives up to hype.

slightly underpowered - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By suresh - February 26 - 12:26 pmBought my rav4 sports basic edition for $23,350 OTD after much hangling. I found the vehicle to be slightly underpowered (0-40 miles). But who needs a V6 with $3 a gallon prices.

Loved our Rav - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Warren - February 16 - 6:10 pmOur Rav was one of the best cars weve owned and we were so impressed on Toyota that when we needed a larger vehicle we bought a Sienna. The interior was so cool and everything was well placed and plenty of compartments to put stuff. Great car!

expensive add-ons - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By f.cardoza - February 2 - 8:00 pmThe more I drive this car,the more I enjoy driving it.Its fun. However, for a top of the line model, many of its functions are on the crude side.ex.the climate control system seems to go full blast to regulate the temp. Also, paying almost 500.00 dollars to install a wiring harness for a trailer hitch is outrageous.

Perfect vehicle - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Barb Lewis - December 14 - 2:20 amWeve had our Rav for 2 months and absolutely love it! My teenagers love how the backseats recline and certainly appreciate all the leg room in the back. The gas mileage is wonderful. It has an unbelievable amount of power for 4 cyl. Lots of storage room.
