RAV4 Rocket - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By fpoteet3 - May 12 - 8:46 amWe were looking for a new SUV that met all my wifes business needs and met our traveling needs also. This one does it all. My wife is an interior designer and is on the road a lot carrying various samples and materials. She just loves that she can lay down the rear seats from the rear with one hand. One of our other cars is a Porsche and this RAV4 handles nearly as well. I love the power and the electric steering works great too. We just took two trips across west Texas and got 28 miles per gallon with a tail wind. By the way, we were crusing at 85 mph with a full load and the A/C on.

Very good value and performance - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Elli - April 17 - 10:56 amI traded in a gas guzzler for a car with good gas mileage and an excellent reputation. I bought the base 2WD and I am not sorry. It did fine in the limited snow this year in NJ, and it has really great pickup (almost as good as the aforementioned V6 4WD gas guzzler!). I like that is has a lot of nice detail on the interior, compared to some other econo-boxes which are plain and drab in the base model (ex. Ford Escape and the Honda CRV). Gas mileage is pretty good, considering I do almost all city driving (I get about 22mpg). Best part is that its a Toyota and I think I will be able to drive it for the next 300,000 miles without too much worry!

Must be good, my 3rd one. - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Tom - March 29 - 1:56 amLove the style of the Sport. The firmer ride is hardly noticeable. Just turned 5000 miles and could not be happier. Toyota service has been one of the main reasons that I keep going back. Since this is my 3rd Rav, there are some features that I miss. Those grocery hooks are gone. Glad they moved the battery to a more accessible location. Also miss the overdrive button on the shifter. Dont like the 5000 mile oil change indicator reminder. Why did they change the emission control warranty from 80000 to 70000 miles? Seems like it must have cost them too much so they passed it on to the consumer. All in all, the Rav is really great.

Thankful for the decision! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Josh E. - March 3 - 7:23 pmSo far, since buying this midsize suv, my wife and I have driven over 3500 miles, including a move that took us through the Appalachian mountain range. I cannot be more pleased with my decision to buy this vehicle. With the 4-cyl, there is some hesitation when merging onto the interstate, but overall there is plenty of pickup for 364 out of 365 days of the year. Im impressed with the room in the 2nd row bench seat, and we have two large dogs that were comfortable for a 1000-mile move to North Carolina. 28 MPG in this car is not a stretch, especially with some mixed (HWY and City) driving. Fit and finish are outstanding!

Love this SUV! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Edee - February 20 - 6:13 amMy first Toyota and first SUV. Wasnt sure if a 4 cyl would be enough - it is, has plenty of pep, handles like a car, gets great gas mileage, rides smoothly, corners well, easy to park & my very tall son can actually fit in the front seat. Love the new larger size and exterior look. The interior is well designed, everything in reach, gauges easy to read. Running lights a great idea. Cargo area exceptional for the size.

Returned in 2006 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Sunshine - February 17 - 8:23 pmI had and still have a 1996 Rav4. My son drives it and it is still running, so when I needed a new car, I came back. The extra space is great. I would like to see more adjustments available for drivers seat and optional airbags standard equipment, but you can be sure it will still be going strong, long after its paid for. And they do have good resale value.

Havent even driven 100 miles yet. - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By MJM - December 25 - 11:43 amWe havent even driven it 100 miles yet, but so far, we love everything about it. The 6 is really hot, and a big 6 that uses regular is certainly important nowadays. We also love the contemporary styling We pretty much loaded the vehicle with options, and all of them work very well and none seem extraneous or extravagant.

Great Crossover SUV. - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By So Cal Driver - December 13 - 11:56 amThe latest (3rd generation) RAV4 has it all: Plenty of room for driver, passengers, and cargo; V6 power to weight ratio worthy of a sports car; surprisingly fuel efficient for a 3.5l V6; Toyota quality and reliability. Ive driven my new RAV4 daily since the end of April and it continues to impress me. Dont bother with the optional 3rd row seat because the 2nd row seats needs to be pushed all the way forward to accomodate 2 adults in the 3rd row for short trips.

2006 RAV4 Limited V6 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By silverphx - December 4 - 7:03 pmThis car is very fun to drive. I love the pick-up/speed it has. I love its small size (easy to park/maneuver in traffic, etc), but it also offer a lot of power. I love the 3rd row seat/fold flat capability.
