Overview & Reviews
Already sporty-looking, the RAV4 compact SUV gets even sportier thanks to a new optional sport package that adds a new grille, a hood scoop, color-keyed door handles, heated exterior mirrors, tubular roof rack and gray-painted bumpers and overfenders. Inside, the package adds special sport fabric seats.
- Steers and handles like a car, thoughtful cabin design, well-built interior.
- Small displacement engine for the class, noisy, most of the desirable equipment is optional.

I love my Rav - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By ladym/Marilyn - December 23 - 10:00 amI have owned 4 types of Toyota dating back to a 1994 Corona, a Tecel, 2 Camrys, now the Rav and I love it. I just wish it had a V6 engine. But, I can live with the 4.

sporty and fun - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By ChiSox fan - December 15 - 3:16 amWe just traded in our "old man" Malibu for the Rav4 with sport package. Its very stylish and the ride is surprisingly smooth for an SUV. We needed a car that could transport our full-size cornholio (beanbag)game to tailgates outside the ballpark. The Rav didnt come with security/keyless entry, so we went to Bestbuy and had them install the complete keyless entry/security/remote start system which will be nice to have during the Chicago winters. The gas mileage is about the same as we had with the 6 cyl. Malibu. I love this SUV and look forward to many years of driving bliss!

Best value (for what it is!) - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By Vamanos - July 17 - 2:00 amThanks to all you reviewers who helped me decide against the CR-V and for the RAV4. Visually, it was no contest. CR- V may have 15 or so more horses, but it was way too conservative, bland and boring. My 12 year old Saturn had more style. The new Sport model with the Graphite Gray Pearl paint sold me. With gas at $2.00+ a gal., Im pleased with the 4 cyl mileage (so far). Glad I chose the RAV 4 over the Saturn Vue, though for the money it is very close and I will miss the dent-free side panels. My mini RX 300 is functional, sexy, sporty and half the price of the Lexus. Gotta get the moon roof and wider wheels/tires to maximize comfort and handling.

TERRIFIC COMMUTER SUV - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By SUDSY - June 3 - 2:00 amTHIS SUV IS EXCELLENT FOR COMMUTING AND SNOW AND WET PAVEMENT. IT RIDES LIKE A CAR BUT PROVIDES 4WD AND THE TOYOTA DEPENDABILITY. I HAVE OWNED MY RAV4 FOR 5 MONTHS AND I HAVE ONLY HAD TO TAKE IT IN FOR THE SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE AND A RATTLING IN THE GLOVE BOX.

Mostly good - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By Mick "The Kid" - May 24 - 10:00 amReally like my RAVA4 for the most part. Rides and handles nicely and is very sharp looking. Does lack a few features that most vehicles have by 2003, such as compass, thermometer, self locking doors etc. Unlighted clock is rather difficult to read in daytime.

My RAV4 - its a BLAST! - 2003 Toyota RAV4
By ajf - February 22 - 10:00 amGreat vehicle - its a blast to drive and an interesting style. Very comfortable and lots of space for the kids and their hockey & soccer equipment. Were constantly running around from event to event, the trunk space is great and larger than most people think for a small SUV. It rides well and has great features - lots of nooks and crannies to store things
