Toyota Matrix - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By ymmat - August 10 - 2:00 amTHis car hadles very nicely and gets great mileage. The front wheel drive is great for city driving and ok on flat snow terrain. However, it has very poor traction on ice and snow so traction devicds are a must. With the larger wheels, even the smallest/ tightest cable chains hit the wheel wells. THe interior is comfortable and appealing. The angle of the steering wheel is not ergonomicaly correct for a person 54". Visibility and seat comfort is great. Interior polycarbonate material scratches easily. My radiant red car gets lots of looks and copliments especially from the younger crowd.

My Matrix - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By Nicesutherngal - August 10 - 2:00 amThis vehicel drives beautifully; smooth, comfortable even on long road trips. Its quiet, handles well in curves, hugs the road. Its just the right size if you dont want a full sized SUV and a 4-dr sedan isnt large enough. Gas mileage is excellent.

04 Matrix XRS 150K Miles Review - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By OingoBo - July 9 - 9:10 pmI am a driver. The transmission is very well matched. Replaced clutch at 110K miles. Only normal maintenance required. I love the sound it makes at high revs.

Fun to drive economy sports family car - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By nyedward - June 27 - 2:00 amIve only had this car for a couple of weeks, but Ive been in love with it since day one. It looks small from outside, but once youre in, its emazing what you can fit into the cargo room thats available. Head room is owesome for all 5 potential passengers. I have a couple of friends that are over 6 tall, and even they found it to be very comfortable. Its not as powerful and sporty as it looks when it comes to speed and performance, not that I was looking to race in it.

I Love This Car - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By Lesterboo - June 27 - 2:00 amI first rented this car last summer for 2 weeks and was sad when I had to return it. At that time I decided it would be my next car. It drives like a peppy small car but with the fold down seats it is like a small truck. it carries everything I need for remodeling projects or just fun shopping trips!

toyota matrix - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By jimcaringi - May 31 - 1:46 amI find the 2004 matrix XR with auto trans a very sporty, attention getting vehicle. I bought it used with 6000 miles on it and have driven it in city and Highway modes. The only problem I had was a persistent "buzz" like rattle from under the left side of the dashboard. My selected Toyota dealer repaired it under warranty. It has ample power, though somewhat noisy engine on hard acceleration. The seats are comfortable and the driving position is ok as well. I highly recommend the vehicle.

I Love My Matrix - 2004 Toyota Matrix
By SUSAN - May 28 - 10:00 amI just picked up my 2004 Matrix RXS the other day and I LOVE it. It is bigger than I expected, roomey like a small SUV.Very diferent body style so you dont see yourself coming and going. I got the 6 speed manual trans with the 180 horse power. It handles like a sports car and can really get out of its own way. Reasonably priced and you cant beat a Toyota for reliability.
