  • I love this car! - 2004 Toyota Matrix

Im not a car person and didnt really care so much what I bought as long as it was big enough, reliable and got good gas mileage. I went with the Matrix and the longer I own it and drive it, the more I love it. The only thing I dont like about mine is that its black. I looks really nice when just cleaned, but boy, does it look bad when its dirty! Ill never buy a black car again.

  • I have two. Matrix 03 xr and 04 xr 4wd - 2004 Toyota Matrix

This is the best car I have ever driven, I am a law enforcment officer and I have driven just about every kind of car you could imagine. The Matrix is a stylish utility vehicle w/sporty appeal. I love both my Matrix xrs, I just purchased the XR 4WD. I love the fact that it has ABS brakes and the 4WD. I am ready for the winter. This car handles and feels wonderful. This car is a pleasure to drive! I have gotten and keep getting so many compliments on my 2003xr, which I bought in july of 2002.

I was looking for an affordable wagon-SUV-type vehicle to carry family, pets, and camping gear. Found it it the Matrix - a good compromise vehicle. Not quite an SUV - not quite a van, but roomy and affordable and of course of high Toyota quality. Comfortable, utilitarian and fun to drive. Good acceleration when needed - gas mileage in the high 30s. Pricing was surprisingly affordable for the quality and features. I would recommend it to any active family.

  • Fun but no sports car - 2004 Toyota Matrix

Very good utilitarian little car. Plenty of room to haul things, lots of cool features like the outlet on the dashboard, the plastic in the cargo area, etc. Good on gas and as its a Toyota I expect it to be very reliable. But I was slightly disappointed in how it handles (is a bit mushy when cornering) and it is slightly underpowered and could use more "snap". Overall Im happy with it, but if they couldve made the engine and suspension perform like my old Acura Integra (sold at 12 years old to get this one) but ketp the amount of room of the Matrix Id be in 7th heaven.

  • Love my Matrix - 2004 Toyota Matrix

I love my Matrix and it is fun to drive. My son who is 19 was really impressed with the way it looks and drives, which surprised me. I didnt think it would be sporty enough for him. Handles great in the snow and rain. Visibility could be better as sometimes it is difficult to see something that is at the front/side of the vehicle when driving. But overall Its great to drive. Reliaiblity is A1.

  • My Lucky Little Car - 2004 Toyota Matrix

I had absolutely no interest in this car when I went car shopping. Now that I have it I could not be happier! The car is both fun to drive and reliable. I purchased it with 30,000 miles and have had no problems whatsoever despite the high mileage. The seats are comfortable and thats saying something with my awful back problems! The dash is beautiful and easy to read, the gear shift is set in a position that is both natural and comfortable, visibility is supreme with few blind spots and cargo room is fantastic. The back and passenger seats have hard plastic back covers for protection when toting large items, the passenger seat folds down as a table top and the car has 3 power plugs!!

  • Fourbanger Fun - 2004 Toyota Matrix

I love the XRS. I actually had a XR and it was a great car too, but I wanted something in a manual. This is a fast little car at approx. 4500 RPM. What is great you dont have to go that high and drive it economically. For a car that is fun, roomy, comfortable, decent MPG, and sporty. Look no further.

Gotta say, love the car. Couple of minor factory quirks, squeak in the dash quickly fixed by the dealer. Fun to drive and great gas mileage. Im a 6 foot plus man and have plenty of room for myself and someone in the back set behind me.

  • So much fun - 2004 Toyota Matrix

Gas mileage is better than my 2000 ford focus that i traded in. I love the whole look of the matrix. Thats what sold me more than anything. I am a new mom, but didnt want the minivan yet. This is a small sporty car with great hauling abilities. I can put two strollers in the hatch and still have room for some groceries. It has lots of compartments, great for moms with tissues, wipes, and toys.

  • LEGROOM!! - 2004 Toyota Matrix

I love everything about this car. I have never been so happy with a car. Even traded my Tundra. I am 6 foot tall and the space and headroom is great. Getting in and out of the car for me is easy. I have one big problem though. My left leg cannot straighten out because it hits the wheelwell! It is starting to affect me because I have to sit crooked, and my left foot and leg are getting sore because it butts-up against the plastic! There is no comfortable spot to rest it my leg. I am physically fit and the last thing I wanted to do was complain about the coolest car I ever owned and a Toyota. Does anyone else know what I am talking about?
