  Fun and practical - 2004 Toyota Matrix

  This car handles well and with the 5 speed manual has plenty of pep - its a pleasure to drive. I really love the exterior styling. We have the XR in white and it looks really sharp. The car is very practical for light hauling jobs. With the hatchback access and rear seats folded flat it can carry a surprisingly large amount of cargo. I am getting about 30 mpg overall, not bad but Im hoping for a bit better once its fully broken in. I expect Toyota reliability (this is our 4th Toyota). Getting one configured the way we wanted it was frustrating, but worth the wait (see improvements).

  Bought my car in January and i cant wait to drive it everyday. Its a blast to drive and very comfortable. Pleanty of room and cargo and nice zip ot it.

  The Matrix design caught my eye months ago because of how I feel it has European design. The interior looks like a hot sports car which gets a lot of peaks through my windows. The interior is comfortable and seems to maintain its look very well. Driving the car is like you are a part of the car itself as you make the turns. The car moves with every command. For utility, simply push the seats down and go !!

  Love this little car-I went from 90 s10 blazer to this veh. Great gas milage. I have hauled a double-size bed, lumber,dining room table,replacement windows-all stayed put thanks to tie downs. We also haul large dogs and they slide a bit-a rug held down with hook/loop tape solved this problem. My father made fun of this little car, til he drove it. He is now trading his 05 Ford for a 06 Matrix.

  I am one of those "senior citizens"... going on 63 soon, and love my Matrix! So easy to handle, and so very comfortable on both short range and long range driving. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and must say that the Matrix is so comfortable... we have another car, a sedan, and when going on long trips in that I find I am very stiff and sore. Not so with the Matrix! Have had a lot of people comment favorable on its looks... and love the gas mileage!

  I was one of the first people in my area of Southern Maryland to own this car, and let me tell you, it attracted some attention... and rightly so. I bought the car for my travels back and forth (college and home) which includes everything from extreme weather conditions, mountains (where they have tractor trailer run-offs) and steep grade inclines and declines. My drive also took me on the Washington beltway 495 during rush hour. I live and work with horses, art, road trips, and did I mention animals galore? This car has been able to keep up with me and I havent had a single mechanical problem to date. I find new ways my car tailors to me everyday with all the compartments and folding seats

  I have driven this car in all kinds of conditions with excellent results, great gas mileage and comfortable ride, good handling. Just a nice car.

  You dont drive the Toyota Matrix. You become part of the Matrix due to its excellent comfort level from the driver’s seat and your body position in relation to the steering wheel.
