Overview & Reviews
The all-new 2000 Toyota Celica is considerably more performance-oriented than the previous model. Highlights include a sleek exterior, a 180-horsepower engine and six-speed gearbox for the GT-S, and sharp handling.
- New styling, new engines, new excitement.
- Celica GT-S engine is peaky for in-town use.

Awesome looks and reliability! - 2000 Toyota Celica
By CeliSamurai - December 23 - 4:56 amI bought this car with 108,000 and now has 140,000. And let me tell you, nothing needed to be replaced! I just chose to replace the brakes and spark plugs right when I bought it. I love this car! Looks awesome, gets awesome gas mileage (35 MPG highway) They could give it a little more horses but its quick regardless weighing just over a ton. Also great winter car, just throw a sand bag in the trunk and your good to go.

2000 Celica GTS review - 2000 Toyota Celica
By hoodlum - October 26 - 4:20 pmOne of the first GTS buyers. Love the 6sp manual. Unbeatable handling/brakes in class. Could use more torque. Great gas mileage. Visibility out back not great, takes some getting used to. Ride is very good considering the outstanding handling. No mechanical issues, have only had to change oil, fluids and tires for 80k miles. Cant beat Toyota reliability.

My Celica - 2000 Toyota Celica
By Christie - June 12 - 1:43 pmI never have driven such an amazing fun car. I have never had an problems with my 2000 Celica other than regular maintainance issues. It now has 212000 miles on it and still runs like new. And in the snow its the greatest car to drive. There is nothing negative I could say about the Celica, its a great fun car to drive

Love My Hot Little Ride! - 2000 Toyota Celica
By Jessie - May 31 - 3:43 pmI call him Sherman Tank as he ranks #1 in crash test ratings for sports cars in his division. Got rearended a week after purchase. I bought b/c I had long drives home from work and wanted to have fun while being stuck in a car. Its a "get noticed" fire engine red car and for all its looks, it runs beautifully if you take care of it. I unfortunately bought it used and they did not disclose that the air intake and filter were installed by previous owner and now I have to find places to clean my high performance filter instead of just replacing normals ones. Overall - it rocks!!! I will keep until I buy a newer version!

CelicaGT2000 - 2000 Toyota Celica
By GngrBrat - February 5 - 2:00 amThis car rocks....it has great pickup for a 4 cylinder. The only problems I find are that the headlights are very hard to change due to limited space. Otherwise....this is one of the greatest cars Ive owned.

my celica - 2000 Toyota Celica
By the_craze_one - January 6 - 10:00 ami enjoy driving it. one down fall to the car that i have found is the blind spots, due to small windows and side mirrors. the only other down fall to the car is the limited leg room for the backseat. besides that this is an excellent car.

Great Car - 2000 Toyota Celica
By Z16 - December 28 - 11:23 pmBought it for the wife 4 years ago. This car just keeps on going. Runs amazingly well in snow with Goodyear Triple treads. I am going to move up a couple of years for her next car. Why did they ever stop making these cars?
