Cons:
  • Cramped third-row accommodations, no V8 option, weak and inefficient base four-cylinder.

  • 4Runner...Always solid...always dependable - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

Great value, rugged, solidly built and low maintenance costs. Solid towing platform. Only issue has been the front transfer case electronics which required replacement (a $1.500 repair) at 115K miles. Resale has consistently been high.

  • Great Vehicle - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I just bought a 2010 4runner Limited. Love the new body style. Fit and finish up to the usual Toyo standards. Headliner and carpet seem a little cheap for a vehicle of this price. Leather seats are impeccable. Nice ride and quiet. Brakes seem a little weird. The first 2 inches or so of pedal travel are a little spongy, then with a little more pressure, they grab. Will take a little getting used to. The limited has a back-up camera, but the display on the rear view mirror, while cool, would be aided nicely if they included the "beeper" which is only available on the SR5. If you order crossbars for the roof rack after-market, BEWARE..the end caps must be removed to install them and the caps are VERY fragile ..$56 apiece to replace if you break them.

  • Capable and Comfortable - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

We purchased the 2010 Limited without nav in Blizzard White Pearl the weekend before Thanksgiving and took it on a 2000 mile trip from Seattle to the California Sierras. The vehicle was extremely comfortable to drive. We averaged 20 mpg on the trip. We put down the seats and slept in the back overnight when the temperature outside was 31 degrees F - and were able to plug in our laptop while doing so. Took it light off roading on jeep trails in the Buttermilk Mountains where it handled very well. The low rear differential setting and high ground clearance got us over the rocks. The traction control keeps it very solid in all road conditions. We enjoy our commute where we get 18 mpg.

  • 2010 4-Runner SR5 - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I had a 2005 Limited, but my new 2010 SR5 far surpasses the 05 model. This is a quality built vehicle with a clean interior. I love the rugged look of this vehicle and the luxury ride. Mine came equipped with leather, running boards, spoiler and 3rd row seating. This vehicle sits up higher and has more interior room than the 05 models. The 3rd row seating comes in handy and folds away flat and neat. Looking forward to my first real road trip in the 4Runner.

  • New vs Old - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

The 2010 is my second 4-Runner Ltd. I just gave my 2005 with 180,000 miles on it to to a brother. The 2005 is still solid and runs like new. The best auto Ive ever owned. I have 4,000 miles on the new one.I am pleased with it overall, but the new engine appears to have little more power than the 2005.Quality of mfg materials is inferior to the 2005. They have improved it in many other areas though such as panel layout.

  • 1st of Many 4Runners - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

My wife and I had previously had a Honda Ridgeline and traded it in for your Limited 2wd 4Runner in Blizzard White Perl. I was expecting my wife to tell me not to do the trade in but once she saw the 4 Runner and took it for a test drive she was hooked. So far its been a great SUV. My limited didnt come with the chrome tip but I found one at OReillys for $30.00. Sure beats the $80 plus that Toyota wanted to charge. Not sure why it wasnt included with the Limited anyway.

  • Not EnoughTesting - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I have had my 4 Runner for 1 month and I must say that Toyota has not impressed me so far. I have a growling noise under the hood and it is really a pain for a SUV with only 2400 miles on it. I also have to agree with other reviews that the sheet metal seems very light. It feels like a $ 6000.00 car (not $36000.00) when you shut the doors, very cheap feeling. I have really outdone the Gas mileage around town averaging 19 plus miles but the Highway mileage is at best 21-23. The services guys say that the computer is learning my driving habits and it takes a while to really get the good mileage(sounds like BS to me). Also I traded in a 2005 Pathfinder and so far the Service at Toyota STINKS.

  • Wonderful Vehicle - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

After owning many other vehicles and always wanting a 4Runner, I finally got one. I looked at older models over the years and found them to be lacking. Especially in headroom and interior quality. Well, all fixed. Great interior, controls and quality and now headroom. The engine makes good power, very quiet, hands free phone system works very well and the interior is cozy without being cramped. I couldnt be happier.

  • LOVE IT! - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

I debated for weeks as to whether to go with the SR5 or the LTD. Decided to go with the LTD as the higher end options were required (full leather, htd seats, jbl stereo). Got it 2 days ago and it snowed last night. On the way home, I can tell you that this thing is a BEAST in the snow...unbelievable. No slipping and I was trying to spin out. JBL system is outrageously delicious, and the ride is very nice. Headed to Beaver Creek this weekend and plan on testing it up hills, etc.

  • Super SUV - 2010 Toyota 4Runner

Truly a super comfortable SUV. The seats are close to being as comfortable as my 2008 Tundra that I traded in for the 4Runner. Long trips they are still great. Handles well on rough Texas FM roads. The fuel averaging is right at 20mpg but its still breaking in and thats city.
